Gonzaga

It's not an easy choice, and they could certainly get run out of the gym, but I'd rather see Iowa try to push the pace.
Trying to play a slower, half court focused game takes away Iowa's best advantage offensively and frankly does them no favors defensively either as they are a poor half court defensive team.
I'd take the chance on pressing, pushing the pace, giving up easy twos and trying to get 'zaga to have to rush back down court to defend the 3 ball. Maybe they can get some of their key players tired enough to be off on their shot and make mistakes.
We know Iowa is going to give up a lot of buckets. Why have fewer possessions and make each one more valuable?
Gonzaga is a lot better at an up tempo game than Iowa. It would not be wise for Iowa to push the pace. Take advantage of opportunities, sure, but Iowa cannot run with Gonzaga.

Not sure if that's a good thing or not. They'll certainly be rested and have plenty of time to study Luka and the Hawks. I'm sure all of our attention right now is on UNC and we won't be worrying about the Zags until the time comes, if it indeed comes. Nothing seems carved in stone these days.

Fran is not going to slow the pace. Please inform me the last time he did that? I’m guessing never.

Iowa does not play at the same pace of Gonzaga. WCC basketball is played at almost a phonetic pace imo. I would say Iowa plays at a quick pace. When Iowa tries to run with a team that is more uptempo, they play out of control, take bad shots and make poor decisions.
