Papa Joes is a very good Italian Restaurant; it's just off of Hwy 50, a couple miles west of I-75 (roughly halfway between I75 and Brooksville).
Chop Block Grill is a pretty good steakhouse.
Where in Brooksville are you going to be, if you're more towards Spring Hill area there are some good places over near the water in the Weeki Wachee area

They have opened a bbq joint in Brooksville that is quite good.
I had looked at the Chop Block Grill and it looks good. We are not gonna make it before they shut down.
Looks like we are gonna hit up Milano Italian Grill in Ocala instead.

I wanted to go thru Brooksville for old times sake. Pops had an uncle who had a small grove there and it was the coolest of spots.
I think it was just off of what was sleepy little Highway 50 coming into town from the West and there was a root beer stand where you turned right at a kinda funky angle. angle

Temps are in the mid 60’s in the area right now, so menu won’t “cook” naturally. It looks like this would do the trick.
