Good God did Wisconsin bend over and take one tonight

Watching them today gave me hope that Purdue and Northwestern have legit shots against them. Add them in with PSU and Iowa has a shot to still win the West. We just can't slip up against Purdue, Northwestern or Maryland. Purdue's O looks really good right now and the D has been improving. Brohm is a pretty good coach.

I am more anxious about the Purdue game because it is an away game after the Penn State game than matchups against Maryland or Northwestern. This could be the one trap game. Iowa could beat PSU and then not rise to Purdue's challenge but this team's defensive depth at DL has been a big plus this season. But like KF, focus on the game in front of you now and worry about what is next after you have met that previous challenge.

I agree that Brohm is a good coach but Louisville fans are getting louder about time for a change and Brohm is not likely to stay at Purdue.

One game at a time. We could lose any week except for Illinois.

I think our squad is just hitting its stride. Play calling is getting much better as this season goes as well. This team isn’t good enough to mail in a win yet but I also think if they stay mistake free they can beat anyone in the country except maybe Bama

Wisconsin is a very solid team, and likely to win out aside from the PSU game. I maintain that we are the better team, and would win a rematch.

But that ain't happenin'. Regardless, most B1G teams will wilt against their running game. While Wisky isn't as good as advertised, they're still going to win the West.

Some of us tried to explain that Iowa had to make four or five of the dumbest plays ever to give that game away to Wisconsin, and that the Badgers are not that great. They were ranked where they were based on history but, as all you financial experts know, past results are no guarantee of future performance. And this year's Wisconsin is, maybe, a little above average as a college football team. That Iowa let them get out of Kinnick with a win is maddening, but there's nothing to do now but win out and win the division anyway.

Iowa is clearly the best team in the West, and it will keep getting better. Having an offense that can score from anywhere at anytime and that never takes its foot off the gas has been a long, long time coming, but it seems clear that we have BF to thank for it.

If Iowa does its part, it'll be on to Indy against either MIchigan or Ohio State, and I think the Hawks win this time and help dampen the angst of the one that got away against MSU.

With the Mich performance last nite, looks like the same ole 2 carrying the Big. West is a joke. West gets stomped in Indy. Just reality.
