GOP already blowing a hole in our budget. Advances massive $340 billion new spending bill.

“Pay fors” 😂

It’s kind of endearing that you actually believe that.
It's kind of endearing that you don't understand any ATTEMPT at it was blocked. That 4.5 trillion cut the last time would have PAID FOR a lot of things. The soon to be new tax cuts for the wealthy would PAY FOR a lot of things for everyday Americans.

I thought that DOGE was supposed to pay for this crap? Rs grifting our asses.

How does proposing a budget blow a hole in your budget? Do you ever re-read what you write? You do know, this would be the first budget from Congress in about 15 years, right?

If you don’t think it’s both sides you’re a friggin moron.

No offense.

It's $340 billion. In new spending. Our deficits are already sky high and this will make them even worse. It's like you're doing everything you can to avoid reality.

D’s the House and Senate and executive Biden’s first 2 years. How’d those “paid fors” work?

Well, in that graph, it sure looks like 2011 to 2015 was a great trend...
Wanna predict what the numbers for 2024 -2028 will look like?

That said, absolutely, Biden didn't help. But once again, these things aren't equal.
I'll give Trump a pass on 2020 due to COVID and I will say the same for Biden... the years after COVID were a nice balancing act. People didn't like it due to inflation, but everyone thought a recession was coming and it didn't. Now, if Trump does what he did his first few years now that recession could very well hit as I don't think we are out of the weeds on the inflation/recession risk. Costs are going back up which is the opposite of what he campaigned on.... and to make matters worse he's creating higher unemployment and give lenders heartburn and fear with his actions.

In reality, it's nothing more than a way for Musk to get inside information to grift off the government.
The $250M wasn't a donation, it was an investment in his grift. Tesla isn't going to be a leader in electric cars any longer and Musk knows this and why he asked for an unprecedented $65B compensation from the company. The Tesla stock is and will continue to become garbage as China floods the market with better built and cheaper electric vehicles. He's a grifter and has always been one.

Unfortunately the average cost of goods went up 30% during Biden’s 4 years. That was unsustainable.

Because of Covid spending and monetization that happened by both parties. Before you say “Biden did more” go look at Trumps campaign promises in 2020. He was going to do the same thing. Now he is floating $5K to everyone and proposing a 4T bump to the debt limit in the middle of an inflationary period.

True, but under Obama the expiring of the Bush tax cuts was more responsible for deficit reduction. Obama really ****ed up healthcare.

You don’t find the Dem politicians slightly more intellectually honest about this? I know libs on HBOT preach deficit when the other party is in charge, but I don’t recall dem politicians like Harris running on a “lower the deficit” plan. I do recall Trump and his minions talking about deficit reduction non stop. Hell Trump promised to eliminate it.

I hope you at least recognize why some folks on here call you “both sides Bins” when one party is way more disingenuous than the other.
Define “way more”. I think they’re both disingenuous on the subject.

Biden did nothing about it. Stop throwing blame at someone who wasn’t even president during that time.

I love how much you care about deficits now. Where have you been the past four years?

After a little investigation, it's the GOP tired old line, "we have to rebuild the military". Um..... no we don't, we need to scale back military spending or we will reach the point where we can't afford a military. Jeesh. Most thinking people realize the MIC controls the GOP, especially the Senate.

You've been proven wrong over and over and over. You're a joke on here and don't have the self awareness to realize it. The two both sides guys here are brilliant at false equivalencies. Trump shows us every single day that we have been right and you aren't capable of owning that you've been full of shit for several years.

We don't live in a both sides time, bins. There's authoritarianism - which you carry a lot of water telling us it's not happening, and American Democracy. What's your choice?

Both sides have fault, but they are far, far apart on being on equal footing. Republicans are constantly pushing massive tax cuts for the wealthy, blowing up debt. At least Dems have the balls to say how they will raise taxes on corps and wealthy.

I will give you the benefit of the doubt that you missed my multiple posts showing our deficit and the massive issues we have. I have literally walked through the math on here multiple times. The simple reality is if you cut 100% of ALL discretionary spending including the military (!!!) you would just get to a balanced budget, but you still wouldn’t be paying down any debt at all.

So when you make a statement like that it comes across very hollow. I have shown the math previously on why we have to raise revenue. Show me the math where we don’t please. I would love to be wrong.

Here is a post of mine to peruse in case you want to know why we have a spending problem AND a revenue problem:

I did and I will look i to them as I think itnwillbe a fun exercise. I would say this only face value. No matter what, they are going to justify why ALL the spending is needed and there will always need to be more. There is quite a bit in the non discretionary that is discretionary.

Here is your problem:

Mandatory spending (SS, Medicare, veteran benefits, etc): $3.8 trillion

Mandatory when you have money and Mandatory when you are broke are different things.

When the mortgage industry was making money hand over fist my sister would have told you her 200 dollar a week eyelashes were "Mandatory" for maintaining an image.

DOGE promised to cover these costs. We've granted them access to literally everything. Even your social security number. And they haven't done anything but get caught in a massive lie about actual numbers.

So how does the Senate make up for DOGE's failings?
It’s laughable that you, or anyone, don’t realize that your SS # has likely already been compromised by other entities. 🥴

Oh don’t get me wrong…I think we have to massively cut spending, I don’t like HOW Doge is doing it (I would prefer it is done in concert with Congress and by people who know what they are doing) but we do need to cut the spending.

It just isn’t enough to cut alone…we have to raise revenue,
