Huh. I guess Nat is too busy to come by this thread to admit that the New York Times, Washington Post, Wall Street Journal, and CNN had this one right.
I hate to defend nat here, but this says the intel report is real, not that the bounty story is real. It doesn't mean the intel is correct.

I'd guess it is correct, but want to just clarify.

I laugh at the stupid ****s who still shout Fake News for the what, 25k plus time by now at this point?
They post so much partisan bs and fake news then they get one right and here you are gloating. #derp as the morons say.

Donald has been in office 3 years, he was briefed he should have acted!?!

KF has been our coach 21 years and could have never known his SC coach was a thug with racist undertones and his son is a hot head who yelled homophobic slurs at officials during a game!

Nope, not hypocritical at all.......

Didn't realize this is where the segment of fans that all think KF should be gone hang out.

One right? LMAO! trump was impeached for obstructing congress. The Mueller report listed multiple examples of collusion. trump got caught paying $130.000 or more to two different affairs to a Playboy Bunny and a porn star. That's just a start, so stop with your bs.

So what is your thoughts on Trump's kissing Putin's ass still/AFTER all this? And no, it isn't Fake News, the only Fake is the President.

The same as it was before: Trump is a jackass. Reagan and Bush I were the last POTUSes that did anything to deter Russia from anything. How about China? Which POTUS stopped them from stealing tech information from US companies and secure data from the government itself?
Let's say Trump asked Congress for authority to take action against Russia for the bounties? Would they give it? I think you know the answer.

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The Trump administration said on Monday it would not immediately impose additional sanctions on Russia, despite a new law designed to punish Moscow’s alleged meddling in the 2016 U.S. election, insisting the measure was already hitting Russian companies.
“Today, we have informed Congress that this legislation and its implementation are deterring Russian defense sales,” State Department spokeswoman Heather Nauert said in a statement. “Since the enactment of the ... legislation, we estimate that foreign governments have abandoned planned or announced purchases of several billion dollars in Russian defense acquisitions.”

Seeking to press President Donald Trump to clamp down on Russia, the U.S. Congress voted nearly unanimously last year to pass a law setting sweeping new sanctions on Moscow.

Trump, who wanted warmer ties with Moscow and had opposed the legislation as it worked its way through Congress, signed it reluctantly in August, just six months into his presidency.

Under the measure, the administration faced a deadline on Monday to impose sanctions on anyone determined to conduct significant business with Russian defense and intelligence sectors, already sanctioned for their alleged role in the election.

Sanctions. Sanctions don't do shit. Russia has enough resources and leverage throughout the world to circumvent anything the US tries to impose on them. The Carter Grain Embargo sure as hell crippled them, didn't it? I am talking military action. You on boars for that? Because that what it would take to actually deter Putin. He has ZERO limits on his power. He is pretty nearly emperor of Russia.

1) how was any of that a response to Russia annexing Crimea?
2) how did sending diplomats home in any way cripple Russia?
3) has the US ever done anything to influence a foreign election? I remember a POTUS sending two of his party's greatest political strategists to Israel to affect an election not that many years ago.
4) is there any proof any Russian citizen cast a vote in the 2016 election or that the Russians altered the voting results?

1) The only option was to invade or sanctions. Nobody wanted to invade so they made sanctions. Sanctions that were so effective, Putin developed a plan to destabilize NATO and western Democracies.
2) It sent a message, but that was just a small part of the consequences.
3) Who cares?
4) We will never know the answer to that question because Trump was sure to shut down any investigation into the votes in the election. Given how this administration has handled everything else, it is very likely that something was happening during that time. Trump's initial statements involved 3 million illegals voting. Seeing as what Trump accuses others of doing is seemingly almost always what he is doing himself, it wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if there were a few thousand votes added to a few specific locations. Again, we'll never know if that's true or not.

Remember that time when an Iranian General killed American soldiers and Trump took him out. Then the left went into full meltdown mode saying Trump was trying to get us in a war. Now supposedly the Russians are involved in trying to kill American soldiers and the left wants Trump to do something about it. How do you guys keep your hypocrisy straight on a day to day or even an hour to hour basis? Does cigarretman or Chishawk sent out daily briefing on what you should be outraged at?

No, I don’t remember that because it didn’t happen you dimwit. You know what actually did happen after that? A passenger jet was shot down with 176 dead civilians. Also we’re all still waiting for confirmation of the imminent threat that precipitated that horrendous stumble by the Trump administration. Thanks for reminding me about it, I’d almost forgotten about it.

Wait, the US shot down the civilian jet after they took out the Iranian general? I could have sworn the Iranians had to fess up to doing that.

You are correct. There are precisely zero policy responses between doing nothing and killing a foreign official. Trump's hands are really tied here... Good grief.
