There's no backing down now between MAGA and Musk, somebody's going to lose and it's going thwart anything that Republicans want to do
It would have been so much easier to tax these psychopath billionaires out of existence.
The founders were skeptical of concentrated power, hence the the separation of powers and checks & balances. E-Loon and the other billionaires now have amassed concentrated power on a scale that the founders could never imagine.

If I believed any of these tech bros cared about the American dream or an expedited pathway to citizenship for the truly exceptional, it would be different.
These guys just want to use labor arbitrage to underpay engineers and technical positions.
Trump's transition is a complete mess so far. He's given up on inflation, Putin says he won't accept his peace deal, his nominee for AG is a pedo, and now Musk is banning conservatives on X after Vivek called MAGA lazy morons who need to be replaced by immigrants.

I knew we would soon be entering the MAGA eating their own phase. I had no idea that it would go from 0 to 140 in a few days. I shouldn't be surprised. The first TRUMP term was non-stop chaos. The second will be the same, only on staggering amounts of steroids and, sadly, far more destructive.
This is the same guy who said "we will coup who we want to coup."
The first Trump term he felt obligated to surround himself with the sane people in the party with years of experience in running our government and managing the economy. This second time around he feels no such obligation and is just going with this vile instincts, surrounding himself with incompetent sycophants and sociopaths.
It's going to be ugly.
Everyone should have known he wasn't going to lower prices back to 2019 and the way they'll deal with it is by having MAGA mass media just disappear the issue, just stop talking about it.
And because the people running the Democratic party are idiots, they will let them get away with it.
Inflation will just end as a topic, the way you solve "problems" in 2024 America is to just stop talking about something.

I still for the life of me cannot understand why space x even exists. We went to the moon a few generations ago and with a finite amount of space engineers on this earth, I want them working for NASA and not through a private corporation getting tax dollars through government contracts

This is really what Elon is referring to. Just look at what he did at twitter. He's expecting the workers to be a slave to their jobs. He's expecting everyone like him to be thought of as gods. This is what a self obsessed person thinks. He is a danger to our society. He wasn't born in the U.S., and I suggest he be deported back to where he came from. If other countries are so much better, then why is he ever here.

I don't care of companies hire people from other countries, they should just be required to live in their own country and the company should have to pay an export tax if the company doesn't have an office (with x number of people) in the other country. Basically make is more expensive to use people from other countries.

You seem to know Musk pretty well. I wasn’t aware he wants slaves to their jobs. Did he say that? Or is that your opinion? I also didn’t realize he was wanting god-like worshipping from the people. Again, your opinion or do you have something that backs that up? Can you explain more about the danger he poses to our society. What specific danger? I wasn’t aware that the US was in the business of deporting US citizens, especially those who have been here for 20+ years.
The left wants the billionaires to pay their fair share, but now you want to deport the wealthiest??? The man who brought the world Tesla, Starlink and Space X? Do you realize Ukraine has been using Starlink for free since 2022 and still uses it on the front lines today?
Eventually I think going to Mars will be in the Trump agenda. Wonder who gets all of the big government contracts.
