So basically we deviated even further from the books, but some of it remained true. Lots happened in this episode, and it seems like the next 3 episodes are going to be crazy.

1st Ramsay Bolton has been repeatedly violating Sansa. Reek showed a hint of his old self, but then betrayed her. Ramsay is easily the most vile villain in the series at this point. Joffrey has nothing on this guy.

Jaime and Bronn are still captured, and YES!!! Bronn still lives. Thanks to the antidote from a certain sexy sand snake.

Margaery is in a bad way, and it sucked seeing her suffer. Tommen showed some grit though, hopefully this continues. Cersei is quite the c#nt, for now.......

Master Aemon is dead, too bad, nice guy. Old age does that though.

Sam got laid, and showed some real toughness against those would be rapers. Good for him.

Jon Snow is on his way out, and looks to be meeting with the Wildlings soon. Should be interesting.

Stannis may have chose a bad time to head to Winterfell as his soldiers aren't in good shape because of the weather. Melisandre continues to try and have him believe in the Lord of Light, and wants him to kill his daughter? Stannis has become a lot more interesting.
\
The old lady Tyrell is none too happy and her convo with Littlefinger was interesting and confirmed that they had in fact worked together to take down Joffrey.

Finally,...Tyrion has met Dany, something that hasn't happened in the books. Very cool to see them on screen together. Can't wait to see how their dynamic works out. She's still being a jerk to Jorah though, kind of makes me mad.

Then in the end, ol' Cersei got what was coming and the religious nuts are taking her down also, now that her incest and c#nting ways are known to them.

That's a lot of #$#$ to happen in one episode. What did you all think of it?

I thought it already was confirmed that Diana Rigg Tyrell was the one who put the poison button in Joffrey's wine.

That sand snake (or her body double) was indeed sexy. Holy frijoles.

You didn't mention Cersei being thrown into the dungeon. Surely you didn't miss that? It keeps hope alive that we will see her paraded naked through the streets.

The scene in the fighting pit was the phoniest, hokiest alleged fight scene in a long, long, LONG time.

I miss Drogon.

Yeah Jorah just stomping in and taking everyone out was a bit much. I'm pretty sure the sand snake girl had both body and face showing. She was delicious.

I mentioned Cersei, I did forget to mention how she finally got what was coming with being thrown in the dungeon and all. True.

It was confirmed, but in case it was missed by anybody, Lady Tyrell and Littlefinger had a conversation about what they had done.

Was anybody bothered by the "Hey, Bronn...you are fine.....but now you are dying....here let me save you...now you are good again..." nonsense? Sure, they showed the scene for a reason, and nobody should be complaining, but they didn't need the antidote at all.

I have a feeling that antidote wouldn't have kicked in that quickly either. It was almost immediate.

Not to mention the poison hitting, you know, just then. It was, literally, a few minutes sequence of:
Bronn fine.
Sexy-time
Bronn dying
Bronn saved

I'm wondering what the point was at all about that scene as well. Like you said, there was a point, but it's strange as to what that is.

Cersi has dug a hole... only thing I can think of now to save her, Margery and her brother... Littlefinger. There doesn't seem to be much left in Kings Landing to stop the religious fanatics from taking over. The interesting quote to me was the many not fearing the few... and they were the many. Curious to see where this goes.

The point was to show the sand snake naked. And speaking solely for myself, I think it was a brilliant move by the screenwriter and we owe him a big vote of thanks. As for the dialogue and what was happening with poisons and antidotes and so forth, I didn't notice.

They want revenge that their uncle wont provide. They will try to use Bronn to get their revenge.

They will use Bronn to kill the girl that he went there to rescue? Sure, I see them using him in the future, but it all seemed rather forced and unnecessary. The poisoning part, not the nudity, the nudity was necessary.

I don't think Bronn would kill Mycella even if all three did him. But, they may use him as a weapon in other ways.

Bronn would more likely shag the sandsnakes, tell them he will kill Mycella, and then take her for himself.

Did Sansa get corn holed or just regular vaginal?
She was all bruised up and crying and stuff. So I'm guessing Ramsay was open to anything and everything.
She's basically locked up in the room all day, and then he comes in and does what he wants at night.
Not the healthiest marriage I've ever seen.

I'm assuming at some point Cersei is going to change her ways and become one of the good guys. Haven't read the books but she's been a B for so long it's bound to change.

Bronn shag the sandsnakes? Not a chance, not while his beloved Lollys is awaiting his return.

They are deviating from the books, but I'm going to go out on a limb, and say no. She will be shamed, and want people to feel sorry for her, but she wont become a good guy.

That would be a huge departure from the books. Somebody will correct me if I'm wrong on this, but I think the last time we've seen her in the books, she was stripped naked and forced to crawl on the street the length of the downtown area, then up the steps. She stayed mentally strong for most of it, but eventually was emotionally broken.

Rumors say that this scene will happen. I can't see her going good, that #$#$ was evil right out the gate. She may learn a little humility, but other than that, she's never going to be one of the good guys.
They've been setting up the scene, especially when you think about who meets her at the end of the walk.

She wasn't forced to crawl. In fact, I think the book made a point in describing her starting out standing, with her head held high. She wouldn't cover herself like her grandfather's whores did. But she was without a stitch of clothing or sandals. And, the septa's shaved every hair from her body. So, hopefully we got that going for us on the show.

She did crawl right before she reached the gate of her castle (The Red Keep). Then, she was covered in a blanket, and Robert Strong picked her up and carried her in.

I've heard the Cersei 'crawl through the streets' scene was shot in all its glory.

It's amazing the changes in the inner circle/court of King's Landing in less than a season.

Tryion - gone
Sansa - gone
Varys - gone
Joffrey - dead
Tywinn - dead
Jamie - gone
Oberynn - smashed
The Mountain - going to zombieland?
Littlefinger - gone, but now back

Nature abhors a vacuum. The vacuum of power at KL is being filled by the Sparrows/High Sparrow. Tywinn's murder was the last straw. Margaery & Cersei are still trading insults and living high if Tywinn is alive.

The showdown between the High Sparrow and Littlefinger could be epic.

Unfortunately Tywins loss was a bigger blow the Kingdom than many may think. He may have been a prick, but he kept business moving and was a very effective leader.

Cersei's walk replayed the vacuum and basically the war of westeros. When she started her walk, she passed by the very spot where Ned's head fell from his body by order of her son. In her head, she recounts the events that unfold because her douchey little son couldn't follow orders. She had everything in place, but Joff had other plans.

I wouldn't be surprised if her walk isn't interlaced with flashback scenes to Ned's death, and all the other key moments started by Joff's douchery.

In a similar vein, did anyone note the bit of irony of Theon having to walk up to the abandoned tower at Winterfell first to try and put up the candle to signal for help only to find Ramsey up there and thus betray Sansa?

Remember, all the horror really started with Cersei and Jaimie shoving Bronn out that same tower window.

I don't think that was the abandoned tower, they just wanted you to think he was going to be nice, he went Ramsay's tower.

I was kind of confused on this. I couldn't tell if Theon was surprised to see him there or not. Have to go back and look.

The irony is that in the book, Mance and his spearwives are sent south to rescue 'Arya/Jeyne/now Sansa'. But, since HBO killed off Mance, somebody else is going to have to go to Winterfell and slap some sense into Theon.

HBO may have done Mance a favor though. In the book, Theon and 'Arya' escape, but Mance and his wives are caught. They spare Mance, but put him in a outdoor cage during winter. They give him the skins of his six spearwives as a coat to protect him from the elements. The Bolton's are so caring in that regard.

That's what the reviewer at AV Club thought as well, but it sure seemed to me that Theon was surprised to see Ramsey in that room. My interpretation is that Ramsey figured out the plot from the old lady, and set Theon up.

I thought it was pretty clearly not the abandoned tower...which is an abandoned and destroyed (?) tower. That was just Ramsay's room. It looked like he wanted to help Sansa, but eventually did not.

Also, it would answer nothing if Ramsay was just, coincidentally, hanging out in that tower.

Well one thing has been proven, the show-writers failed. Whichever answer was correct, they poorly portrayed it (for some).

Not the healthiest marriage I've ever seen.

There was a passage from GRRM in the book, to the effect that Ramsey was beating 'Arya/Jeyne/Sansa' daily, and so badly, that the northerners were rallying with Stannis to defeat the Boltons. Arya's handmaid made the comment that Stannis would have no trouble finding Winterfell, even in a whiteout, because you could hear her crying for miles.

Mance is burned to death in the book.....only it turned out it was a trick, somebody else was substituted for him, and he's still alive.
