Gottfried likely out @ NC State

With Coach McCaffery's strong East Coast ties having coached @ Lehigh, UNC Greensboro, and Sienna- will Coach McCaffery have any interest in moving to the ACC? According to many NC State has top twenty talent and they are not performing for Coach Gottfried, which has put Gottfried on the hot seat. This would be the ideal team for a coach like Fran to jump at. NC State is a tradition rich program. I am not trying to start anything, merely asking the question.

Mistake to get rid of Gottfried. He is a good coach and good recruiter, don't understand the move. I agree that Fran would like to be here as long as he can, don't see him moving on unless it's ND or another big name program.

His senior son hasn't signed with Iowa so never say never. I know the reason is Iowa doesn't have a schollie for him due to being full at the present time but lots can happen between now and next fall.

Why would Fran leave Iowa? If smart he goes the way of the Ferentz. Get a deep run in the NCAA and use it as leverage to sign a 50 year contract extension...The Iowa way...
