So, as I understand it, GreaseBaum was fired because she was abusive to her players.
The AD at Iowa received several complaints about Griesebum yelling and verbally abusing
Field Hockey players.

Then, Griesebum, who was a Lesbian coaching a young girls field hockey team, was having an
elicit affair with one of the Superiors, also a lesbian in the Athletic Dept. They didn't bother to tell their
boss about their 'relationship'.

And somehow, the Iowa AD is the 'bad guy' in all this?

Ultimately TG reported to Barta. The fact TG and JM were lesbians is not an issue and cannot be brought up. The fact that a coach was 'romantically involved' with an Associate AD might be a violation of U of I policy or the terms of her employment. That's for the lawyers to sort out.

TG was coaching young adult women, not young girls.

She was fired for abusive behavior toward her players. Did it go beyond yelling & screaming? Did it get physical? Was there humiliation and bullying?

The highlighted portion, definitely, and the underlined portion, possibly, are the only parts of your post that should be pertinent to the entire case. I say possibly about the underlined part because it very likely is a violation of University rules to have a relationship with your boss, although I wouldn't take that as a given.

Yelling is one thing, however if it's tied to other behaviors, such as choking Neil Reed, it shows a pattern of inappropriate behavior. That said, there's a difference between yelling/motivation and abuse. If TG crossed that line, then the verbal portion is most definitely pertinent.

Keep in mind, I would have loved to have played for Bob Knight. He reminds me of my Drill Sergeants and my HS baseball coach.

And, Gary Barta absolutely knew about the relationship for years. He has exposed UI in this case by initially waffling about his knowledge of the relationship. Everybody knew about the relationship. He exposed the UI to penalty by not acting years earlier and reorganizing duties. He will cost the UI a lot of money when both of the cases are settled in favor of the plaintiffs.

As I stated in my initial post ( you apparently didn't read, or forgot) that the point
I'm making is that TG and the other one were 'the bad guys'. Now, you have

Well, now we see why the OP is a Trump supporter.

If much in the lawsuit is true I think Barta is in trouble, despite his recent pay increase. This will really make Iowa look bad, not to mention possible fines from the Feds.
