GREAT win by the Cyclones!

I was at a place with 36 TV's and I don't think I saw one with the ISU game on. Iowa had 4 TV's and about 20 people, the rest were SEC, FSU and a couple o$u. Good win by the Cyclones, did Campbell get the QB decision wrong again this year?

I don't think so. Kempt was the obvious choice, then he got hurt. Noland had starting experience and had played well in relief. Alternatives were two true freshmen. Both had good credentials and both were highly mobile, unlike Kept and Noland, but both were true freshmen.

Two factors, in addition to another month in the system, argued for Purdy to play more against OSU. First, Montgomery was in street clothes. Second, Okie State's defense led the nation, by a large margin, in sacks. ISU needed a QB who was a running threat and who could evade the rush.

I doubt if anybody, including Campbell, expected him to play as well as he did. It will be interesting to see what he can do next week against a significantly better team.

Was very impressed with the Cyclone win today. 3rd string qb, no Montgomery. A win in Stillwater, which is a more impressive win than we'll have all year (unless we win at Penn St).

Campbell's an incredible coach. They have a lot of talent, and it's amazing how they can keep plugging in QBs. 3rd stringer looked amazing.

First of all . Who cares? Secondly, Okie State isn't that good, amazingly poor defense. I think it is way premature to call Campbell an incredible coach. By the way, 13-3!

I believe every single game had a team with less than 34 points, b12 had 1 TEAM that scored less. Guess it's just those high octane offenses! Probably 3 or 4 top 5 offenses in the little 12 right?

As it stands right now, it would seem Minnesota is Iowa's best win, given that Iowa State is still below .500 even with the win yesterday.

We thought the Cyclones would have a big year last season after wins against OU and TCU and then they went on a losing skid.

How this year's season turns out is anyone's guess. One thing is, however, crystal clear at the present moment: Iowa State fans on this board sure thump their chests a lot for being 2-3 and currently on a 4-game skid against a lowly B1G Ten West team.
