Going with a few punk guitarists from Rolling Stone’s greatest list. First, two from The Minutemen and D. Boon (#89 on Rolling Stone’s Greatest Rock Guitarists of All-Time) who sadly joined the 27 club via a car accident nearly 40 years to the day…

And two short but sweet classics. Steve Jones’ kick ass short solo at the 2:00 mark of God Save the Queen, kick starting it to a #1 record (well, on all the non-state run unofficial charts)
And Poison Ivy going off psycho-billy style while her husband is his typical outlandish self at the 1:40 mark:

Journey - Who's Crying Now. When I think of "best solos" it immediately comes to mind. Just pure tone. Tone for days. It ends a sad song with utter heartbreak. Neal Schon.
I'm not saying it's the greatest but I had no idea Adam Levine could play that well
