Greg Kerkvliet defaulting to 6th...

You're not going to trick me into googling cheesesteak battles again. Nice try though.
You're going to regret it. this goes to a phenomena called bleacher thinking. look at what those guys over there are doing! And then ignoring what your own guys do. I know a certain amount of fans are dicks and act up. I also know a certain amount are just busting balls trying to aggravate folk. Like I said my initial reaction to both was they should wrestle not considering Lee might be hurt. It initially didn't cross my mind.

With Kerklivet I heard his knee was hurt the week before but if you recall Barr hurt his leg/knee in the Big Tens. He came back so I figured Greg had something minor too since he was wrestling. Then I hear he needs an ACL repair. So never assume any fan is smart, thinks, or isn't busting your balls initially. That's why I won't worry about what some other fan think or my fan base about this stuff.

As for cheesesteaks, they are great. Just get a great roll and thinly sliced steak and go to town. I'd use Cooper sharp cheese for a good melting cheese and add peppers and onions if you like.

Quote from Spencer Lee:

“I saw people say I lost because I was hurt,” Lee said. “That’s not true. I got beat. I hate when people try to make excuses for me when I got outwrestled and beat. They’re taking credit away from someone who deserves credit.

I guess we should be calling Lee a liar with your logic. Go ahead and move goal posts again and try to rationalize how the situations are the same. (For the record, I did not criticize Lee for defaulting out.)
Congrats! You did it. You just made the dumbest post on here today.

Great trolling with kanipshan or you really need some spelling work.

I'm betting he was not 100% though.

You evidently are missing the point that PSU fans ripped Lee for defaulting, while no Iowa fans have done the same to Kerk
I think Iowa was focusing on other things like 3 guys in the finals. Lee was talked about as a potential 4 timer if you recall. Most people figured Kerklivet wasn't beating Stevenson so I don't think they paid much attention to him. Bigger things to be concerned about.

Holy shit buddy you need to remove the head from the psu butt and read the thread carefully. Send me a text if you still have questions lol.!!! Sorry this is harsh because you know I love you but damn man!!!
I love you my brother. And I love it every time a PSU wrestler loses, except for maybe twice in the past 10 or so years. And I promise I dislike PSU as much as the next guy. However, that post was so not cool. Kerk was clearly injured and clearly hated the predicament he was in.

Gobblin, I respect you no matter what...and am surprised by nothing. That said, somewhere deep inside that "I hate all things PSU" mind of yours, you know that post was BS.
As I said, it's engagement farming. Big on twitter and youtube. I don't find it offensive, it's just trying to make some problem that doesn't really exist. People talk crap on a sports message board? I'm shocked!

People like to be outraged to get a win over the other guy who's so bad that he did a thing. It's just a coping mechanism.

Low blow to whom exactly? I clearly said that it wasn't directed at Kerkvliet himself in ANY way. Those that blasted Lee for the exact same thing deserve to be heckled. Not saying anything simply gives them a pass. If you want to give them one, go for it. I, on the other hand, simply will not...
I can see your point to a degree, but because Kerk was clearly not physcially there, I didn't think it was cool. I'm all in WRT talking shit about the other PSU guys I enjoyed seeing go down, and would have been all in talking shit if they had bailed on their team. But I have a soft spot for the athletes that get injured, such as the case with Parco and Teemer...and Kerk.

the point wasnt to talk shit about Kerk though. It was to show the hypocrisy of PSU fans that talked shit about Spencer Lee - and were still doing it in posts on this board yesterday.

No way Kerk beats Hendrickson in that tournament, healthy or not. Gable handled Hendrickson before too. He is a different wrestler this year.
Show me a post where you predicted Hendrickson would win it all and I will give you all the respect in the world. But so far you sound like a Monday morning QB. And if you did predict him to win it all then you're one of the few minority since the Vegas odds were not looking good.

Spencer said that, but that's the kind of guy he is: he takes responsibility. Anyone with half a brain and pair of eyes could see that he wasn't moving in full form that tourney. And your PA brethren did pile on, and on this board.

No one on this board should want to bash Greg Kerkvliet, but your fans deserve all the crap they get here.

I was wondering the same thing. No malice toward Kerk, he was hurt, but who is to say Spencer wasn't, or he decided to save himself for the next freestyle competition coming up shortly after NCAA's. And all the people making fun of his mom for tearing up her glasses in her moment of grief. Cruel world we live in.
A thought for why they could be perceived different.
Lee was braced up throughout the tournament but up to that point was fall, tech, major and he seemed to be moving well enough in his match with Ramos.
Kerk laid on Gavin Hoffman for 6 minutes of RT in the quarters, he had no movement on his feet and won with riding time. He was hobbling from the whistle in his semi and had nothing for a guy he had beat prior.

And notably, he didn't say he wasn't hurt. Just didn't use the injury as an excuse for the loss. Big difference.

So, it was ok to bag on Lee and his family because he won more convincingly, but you shouldn’t because Kerk got 6 minutes of riding time in the quarterfinals. Got it…

Oh wise one, it was just a statement as to why it could be perceived differently, how they both moved and wrestled in the tournament. Not bagging on either one, i just bag on you.

It’s a d*ckhead move to bag on either. Lee had double acl reconstruction a year prior. Did everything he could to benefit his team. No reason to risk further issue with the team aspect over and his dream of a 4th title if he wasn’t up to it.
Same with Kirk. They both had aspirations past college. And don’t forget Lee bowed out of his next tourney. And then made the oly finals. I like to applaud the effort.

lol! No, no I don’t… You’re making it really complicated when it isn’t. God Bless you sir.
Aren't you the guy who infamously claimed Spencer left the tournament after his loss to Ramos? I think you stated that he already checked out of his hotel and left the state of Oklahoma, right?

Yes I said exactly that!!! I made it up so you could famously be the 100th person that can think you have a gotcha moment 2 years later! Wanna know what you won?!

Put me on a 6lb largemouth and we’ll be all square… 😎😆
I wish I was that good of a fisherman. I've caught two over 6lbs in the past 10 years and both miles apart. That said, in our first tournament last year one of the guys in our club caught one over 9lbs in Old Hickory, so they do exist in this lake, just very rare. :)

Twenty-something kid from where I live, know he and his family well, just won the national Bassmaster. $300k+ for 1 tourney. Holy shit, I'm retiring and going to see if he'll hire me as his bass caddie.

Wait - did my post from last evening get removed? There was nothing stated that wasn't true and the post wasn't offensive in any way. Any insight as to why it was removed would be greatly appreciated. I thought we were just discussing the different scenarios.

Pretty sure Turk gave you a rather detailed warning...
