Gronowski is on the Iowa Campus right now on a Visit .

This is probably correct. He and his advisors are doing the math to see what the relative compensation potential looks like between returning for another year of college ball at Iowa vs his NFL possibilities. They might not reach a decision on that for awhile. Hopefully Iowa is still active looking while that's ongoing.
The Dates to declare for Players whose seasons is over is very close so if He is going to enter the Draft that is coming in the next 2 Days as I think the Date for Players not in the Playoffs is Jan 6

A Jan. 24, 2025, deadline to petition for special eligibility for championship game participants was established. NFL teams will receive a list of names on Jan. 25 with players having 72 hours (until Jan. 27) to revoke their submissions.
On the opposite end, an early soft deadline of Monday, Jan. 6, 2025, will be put into place for players whose seasons have been completed at an earlier date. The traditional hard deadline for special eligibility will be Jan. 15.

You confused us with debbie. Kirk is more likely to go 8-4 than 4-8.

Just historical fact. You should get some Debbie gear, I hear they are going to the playoffs in '25.
With Sullivan at QB and Iowas crappy secondary the team right now with the schedule they have next year will end up close to 4 losses than 8 wins.

I had a pizza with some scorpion and reaper peppers on it last Night and Ican without a doubt forecast the hammer is indeed nearly ready to drop from the rumbings that are occurring in the nether regions
As the old saying goes what you do yesterday can burn your a$$ today. Condolences to your nether regions.

I’m not sure how if we add the kid from SDSU, that Sullivan, Brown, and the other Sullivan kid all stick around. Specifically the older Sullivan.
I'm not sure why this matters. None of these guys is likely to start at any other P4 program. Do you not try and land the best player available because you are afraid that a lesser talent will leave?

I do miss the hammer is about to drop posts! Didn't soaker promise us a Bama WR last portal cycle?
That guy did try to commit to Iowa, then Iowa pulled his offer. That was confirmed by multiple media members, but maybe they all got bad info? It worked out for him…

Holden. He ended up at Oregon. Might have been two years ago?

Yeah except 2 of those other QBs have already started at P4’programs, where as technically Gronowski technically hasn’t.

The Oline was good this year.
correction. kJ2 was good making something out of nothing. Any time this oline had a real defensive line across from them they crumbled. Sorry but its time to move on from this failed vexperiment and find a real Oline coach.

Who cares, they all lack what it takes to get iowa to the playoffs.

I'm surprised he hasn't tested the waters already I think if he is surrounded by a good offensive line and talented receivers he could be great for one of the top tier teams. Take the money to be Ohio states etc back up. One injury away from being the man with playmakers all around you and a coach that knows how to use them.

Unfortunately I’m not sure what other goals the team can set since there is no longer a division to win. I feel like being in the hunt every ~5 years or so is realistic. Making it every 7-8 years?

The reason why I didn’t think it’s realistic is because we play Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Nebraska every year. I doubt we get 3 W’s against them usually, and more like 2 Ws.

Then throw in having to play either OSU, Mich, Penn St, USC, or Oregon most likely a couple of those teams at least (this past year looks like about the easiest our schedule gets).

Well the hammer has come down . Like Ric Flair said You gotta bleed sweat and pay the price, I still know nothing about Iowa getting a QB however . I would recommend to anyone in the area beware if You are about to enter a public bathroom . Smells like Maxine Waters , pepper spray , skunk roadkill and a heavy dash of Cryovac in there .

It's comments like this that we are up against. Indiana, Boise, AZ state. Losers make comments like that.

Nearly all those examples you used are bad.

- Boise has basically been the cream of the G5 for nearly 2 decades, and they get one team in annually with the expanded playoff.

- ASU plays in the Big 12 which is a lesser conference, however there is parity all over that league so they have as good of a chance as anyone else to get in. My guess is over a decade you will see more than different teams take that slot

Indiana is your only example that is somewhat valid. They had a very soft schedule and made the most of it. Iowa could’ve and should’ve but our coaches struggle to adapt.

I hope to Odin that Jörmungandr does not trigger Ragnarok as a result.

It means the program is slipping. Surely you can see that. The damage done to the offense is irreparable, especially under a HC like Kirk. This season showed you can't lean on the defense and ST constantly. Time for change.
lolol. try actually reading the wordage of his post. Sorry, I didn't have my decoder ring. For Christ's sake. Like you could make anything coherent out of that post....
