Gronowski is on the Iowa Campus right now on a Visit .

I have no insight into why a visit to IC. I can only guess he has some travel to NW 1st, then went to IC. Liked the NW package better and committed to them.

@3 mins to 3.5 mins Cory Brada also puts out a confirmation on his IC visit with MG.
With Cory's platfrom of ~10k subscribers, I find it hard to believe he'd put out false info to jeopardize his reputation over it.
He also said Lincoln Keinholtz last year was looking at iowa and talked to some “sources” close to keinholt … he never even entered the portal and I don’t think he entered this year either.. he gets bad intel just like anyone else… that’s not to say Wilde didn’t come to IC but I really don’t 100% trust any of our insiders

Wasn't it Kwik who broke early rumors about the gambling investigation thing before any of us had heard about it?

I'm choosing to believe him.

But off with his head if he turns out wrong.
He said “got the name wrong” with Wilde… I don’t believe he knows squat. But I do think gronowski has a good shot at being a hawk but has nothing to do with what Kwik thinks

To be fair even the best connected sources have good info go south on occasion, Portal Kid can be talking to a Coach in Columbus and get a text saying Michigan just offered 2 million and everything changes with 1 phone call or text. Just for example. Portal news is very fluid , some of these Kids are getting offers right up until they put pen to paper

6 months early in regards to gambling news & Arland Bruce situation - plus Cade, Kaleb Brown, and Proctor coming back, all from the same.

If I’m wrong, so be it - that is the track record.

One that missed was Ty Thompson visiting when he did not. The visit was scheduled for a moment, however.

How is any of this even remotely relevant to yesterday's announcement of:

"Iowa has landed Gronowski & Wilde"

This just wasn't factually correct when you posted it so yeah, you were wrong.

How come the weather always sucks when we end up hosting visitors? Is it because we can’t have nice things?

I get it, he’s coming in from South Dakota so 20s is the norm, but would it kill the football gods to give us a 40/50 January weekend for once!!

Pretty sure we hosted the Rice OT during the freezing rain debacle a few weekends back.

Iowa hosting a key transfer/recruite OR a home basketball game are two surefire ways to guarantee $hitty weather!
I hate the weather argument people make. I love a chilly fall day for football.

These would be amazing additions.
it’s not the gameday weather that’s the issue. Its the off season slog that they also have to endure in Iowa city and the all-year-round eye-candy the southern schools offer. Not as big of an issue for Midwest kids like Gronowksi. But at best it’s a push for Midwest kids who are already used to it. And it sure adds a cherry on top for Midwest kids considering going more south and definitely a challenge to overcome for southern kids coming up north. Sort of an “if all else is equal” type of challenge or certainly not a positive on T-bar as it could be for other schools.

Take solace in knowing this week in South Texas we will have morning temperatures below freezing.

Does anyone actually know shit on this? Yes or No

Didn't know that. Thank you, promising.
To the best of my knowledge and research it’s seeming Iowa or NFL right now. There may be a wildcard in there if he’s starting to get more calls but I think we have over 50% chance of getting him, he might be waiting to see who else declares for the draft and see where he stands there.
From everything thing I’ve read we should hear before the weekends over one way or another

Thanks! 🤞

This is probably correct. He and his advisors are doing the math to see what the relative compensation potential looks like between returning for another year of college ball at Iowa vs his NFL possibilities. They might not reach a decision on that for awhile. Hopefully Iowa is still active looking while that's ongoing.
