Gus Malzahn thew new OC at FSU

One, he's old. Our coaching staff is already much too old. He makes it even older. Two, his offenses have long since been figured out by upper level DCs. Basically, we are replacing a failed offense with another failed offense.

Or "bounced" since he's at UCF.
No offense, but are you saying he stepped up at this point? He’s a HC who just quit to be an OC at a program having a really bad season. He’s a 4th year HC who was in danger of being fired. Google tells me he’d have gotten $12 million if UCF had fired him on Monday, but some guys don’t like to be fired.

I was referring to UCF's stadium which is nicknamed, "The Bounce House".

His elite qb recruiting and development are both nonexistent. Bo Nix regressed under Sweater Vest.

Gus walking out on the players he recruited is one of the main reasons that I am good with players getting paid, tho the whole system is now in total flux.
Just like coaches leaving a mess that results in NCAA sanctions, this too teaches players to look out for themselves.

In Mack Brown’s UNC postgame presser yesterday he flat out said it was time for him to go because he and so many other coaches have seen changes wrought by NIL and the Portal they don’t like and are not optimistic about.

UCF is still regarded as a “commuter school” here in Florida and as such it’s got the largest enrollment but it’s lacking a frenzied alumni base crazy about football. For now it’s still going to be a “bounce” for coaches who want a bigger school job.

Virginia’s basketball coach left just before the season started and stated basically the same thoughts. One major difference is that Mack is at retirement age, not so Coach Pete at UVA.

In that regard, Saban pretty much indicated the NIL changes were part of his decision to retire.

It’s college football. You don’t need to scheme to win. You need players. He’s a good recruiter.

Given our situation and how much money we’ll need to reboot the roster, this is probably a win.

Why do you think saban walked away at Alabama? A lot if these guys know this is not what they signed up for.
When there is too much $$ out there and not enough adults in the room, you can expect “shit sandwiches” like what we have now in college football. But you did get your 12 team play-off so be happy!

5 foot 9 and occasionally accurate, former Boston College qb, Thomas Castellanos will likely be running our offense next season. This according to Noles247 publisher.

I think it's what we need. 1-year mobile QB to compensate for a terrible (but hopefully rebuilding) O-line. Any more eligibility and you risk losing Glenn and Luke and we really need to keep Luke. CT will run all over the place next year.

I hope that is not true, although there has been some smoke for days.
The way he left BC after getting benched is not the guy I would give any reps. Run with Luke and build for the future IMO

I see where UCF has (re( hired the Heisman Triphy winner as their HCc

Ground Hog Day…nothing like living in a past that never really existed! I so look forward to Trump 47.
In a thread about a football coach you figured out a way to shoe-horn in "Trump".
