No idea how to feel about this. Doesn't have a lot of tape to look at.
Yeah, what little footage I’ve seen is mostly non conclusive. He doesn’t seem to be mobile at all which will be a problem. It does appear that he can throw the deep ball, but if he can’t evade the rush, he’ll never get a chance to throw it.

I think that’s exactly what he is.

Consider Marco couldn’t beat out Deacon Hill, I’ll consider this a massive upgrade, site unseen.
Was it that Marco couldn't beat out Deacon Hill, or that KF didn't give Marco a chance to win the job. It's pretty clear Marco was never even given a chance. After all, Hill was the worst QB in all of college football, one of the three worst to start at Iowa in the last 50 years . . . and that is no exaggeration.

Hill couldn't run or pass and was a turnover machine. No other head coach in major college football would have put Hill on the field, ever, let alone falsely claim he gave Iowa "the best chance to win." LOL

Lester hasn’t earned any trust yet…his riding Cade as starter either tells me he’s incompetent or he’s a KF boot licker…neither are encouraging thus far.
I think we need to start thinking about Lester's buyout.

Good thing you know more than a former AA HS QB who was set to go and start for Spurrier’s Gators until he blew out his ACL. Then went on to throw for 10,000 yds in college. Then was a QB Coach, OC, and head coach. I mean, hell, you shouldn’t settle for whatever you’re doing now. You’ve obviously got an eye for QB talent.
Pretty sure the coaches who evaluated him saw a lot more than this compilation video. That being said, there was not a lot on it that really stands out as impressive, especially against weak competition.

A healthy Sullivan would seem to be a much better option than Brown. Not that Sullivan is a great option necessarily, but just as a comparison.

Hoping they bring in dual threat guy from the portal who also has potential as a passer.

People were mixed about sully last year too. Then we was the best in the world and now we need to go get someone better… that’s just what Iowa fans do. I’ll assume Hank is a good backup with some upside and hopefully surprises us. More upside than Stratton I think

Because KF would almost rather forfeit than have to play a true freshman.
Didn't Stanley see some playing time as a true freshman?

I really have no idea why Hill played instead of Marco. Another curious QB story along with Labas and others... I'm honestly surprised they can convince anyone to come at all given the recent history.

Yes, but I was talking about starting a true freshman. Specifically because no other QB was available.

Regarding Labas, it would have been easier on the team to play him, but if you don't show up on time for meetings you don't play.

Nobody ever said anything like this that I can recall, but carry on.

best in the world was a stretch, the point was ppl were very high on him when he won his first game and wanted him in as soon as Cade struggled (rightfully so).
My point was Sully wasn’t a huge portal get, but had some good aspects to his game and I still think he’s our guy next year…so if Hank can be what Sully was supposed to be (a capable back up) than I think it’s a good move, prolly cost very little NIL as well.

Honest question, what reminds this kid of Beathard other than he’s a skinny, 6’3” white kid that went to a Nashville school? His arm strength appears average at best I haven’t seen any film that shows off his mobility.

The one positive I keep hearing on pods is he has solid leadership ability but that’s an intangible that is easily embellished. Frankly that’s what we were told was Cade’s best attribute ad nauseam.

Why are you on here dude? You always got to put in a snide remark about something.

Idk that snide is the correct word for what I was saying. Wasn’t derogatory or mocking in any direct or indirect way, just stated that Iowa fans tend to change their minds about the Iowa QBs quite often, and that it always seems that the next guy is never good enough for them/us. ( Im guilty of it as well)

Either way I’m sorry to offend! Have a good one!

Did the source mention that in two years at Auburn he rushed 3 times for 10 yards?
That is like asking why Iowa only has one win after the first week in September.

The guy played in two fvcking games.

Hill sucked. Maybe we could go back in time and start another QB.

Somehow still went 10-2 regular season.

So many posters have become insufferable. This is what Nebraska probably went through on their board when 9-10 wins weren't enough. Take this post for example.

Not if he stinks it up.

What kind of a pissant takes on this preconceived attitude for a new member of the team? It's hard to imagine what these people are like in real life away from this board.
It is hard to imagine what your life is like away from this board considering what a miserable jerk you are.

I wasn't impressed with your F word nor the fact that you said he played in two games. He played in five. Facts are hard.

Swearing is good for you. Give it a fvcking try.

He recorded a statistic in four, played more than a quarter in two.
