Ummm.....and to Jesus.
I have a work buddy who's name is Chris and his middle initial is T... born on 12/25. He said when he got his driver's license renewed the guy at the DOT didn't believe it at first. ChrisT born on Christmas Day.

You do realize that he was not born on this day, right? This day was yet another day stolen from another religion that Christianity killed. Sorry.
Irrelevant, this is just the day chosen to celebrate the birth of our Savior.
Incidentally I've read about all those other religions, basically just conjecture is what it amounts to.
Paganism is not dead. You celebrate the winter solstice and I celebrate the birth of Christ.
Interestingly enuff there is as much proof for, as there isn't against. That's where the Faith comes in. You can't prove he doesn't and I can't prove he does. But when I earnestly looked I found enough evidence that my Faith took over after that.
That's all that matters..
Does this mean Charlie Browns Christmas and Miracle on 34th Street and Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer and a Christmas Story and Dickens' A Christmas Carol are all illegit? Wow..that's a mind blower. And to think I just watched all of them with my grandchildren.

I said "best guess". Now, try doing some research. Dec 25 not being the birth of Christ is actually a well known fact.
The Bible indicates that when Jesus was born the Shepherds were tending to their sheep in the fields so this had to have been a warm month but December 25th is when the entire world celebrates the birth of Jesus a man of Faith myself that's when I celebrate the birth of Jesus
Well, I'm pretty sure he was born on a weekend. Why else would there have been no room at the Inn?
The bible is an assembly of stories written by individuals who weren't present for the events being described, and then centuries later modified by individuals attempting to push their interpretation of these events... Doesn't matter what the bible says the shepherds were doing....
I would guess definitely not a weekend. Sabbatical law was no work on the Sabbath (including traveling).
Simply not true. They were eyewitnesses to Jesus' public ministry. (now his birth is a different story) Secular history collaborates all as being true. What is your impeccable source?
I'm not religious in any way but this is a really stupid argument to have. Just let people believe what they want to believe. It doesn't matter if you're christian, jewish, muslim, or atheist as long as you're a good person. Just let everyone enjoy the holiday season in their own way.

I think the date of December 25th works out fine for most of us since it is unknown His exact date of birth. It is also unknown the exact date of the Resurrection as it falls on different dates of the year.
It isn't a science class....
I think we should move Christmas to January 25th. It would make winter shorter after it and allow people to waste their year end bonuses on frivolous gifts.
