I always dreamed of the Hawkeyes winning a National Championship in football or basketball. As I grew up, I knew it was gonna be difficult, and I had to be patient. But hey, I had time, it's gonna happen at some point.
Now I'm 50, and you know what? It's not gonna happen before I die, and it's not gonna happen for anyone else that is reading this before they die either.
Happy Friday

Accept what happens with low expectations. Iowa will never win a championship in football in our or any lifetime. I’m 58, been a loyal fan and alumni and accepting that fact has made me enjoy watching a whole lot more. Being an Iowa fan you have to know the limitations of the program in today’s landscape. We are not alone in this.

Same age as you, and I knew that would never happen.

2015 was the closest any of us will ever get close to dreaming of a playoff birth going 12-0 during the regular season was a precious moment… what I would do to have one of those seasons again. I am 52 and I know damn well Iowa won’t ever come close to a playoff as if there was a year it was this year and we all are witnessing KF shitting himself once again!

Thankfully for me I’m a Chiefs fan! It took many years for one of my teams to reach some semblance of glory. I’m 54 just to give you an idea of how much Hee Haw I’ve been through as a Chiefs, Cubs and Hawkeye fan! Gloom, despair and agony on me! Deep dark depression excessive misery………If you grew up with it you remember and can fill in the rest of the words and moans, groans and whimpering cries!

Losing sucks, but if your teams losing puts you in "deep dark depression" then please seek help. There are a lot of people in this world who suffer from real depression and serious psychological issues from trauma, abuse or mental issues. The pity party that goes on here after losing a "game" is embarrassing and ridiculous.

Hey Francis, lighten up! It was a joke and it was also one of my favorite shows growing up as a kid! I didn’t watch the game last night. Was out with the wife and friends throwing darts, bags and gambling a bit! Going to a concert in Dekalb tonight, so, yeah I have more enjoyable things in life than watching sports!

Super "Francis". But here's the thing. That shits NOT funny, but it is typical of some of the crap that gets posted here after almost every loss. If you've ever known anyone who suffers from real depression or other trauma from any of the real issues I mentioned or others then you and some of these other people wouldn't make light of it. Or hell maybe you would, I don't know.

Life is pathetic isnt it? Iowa football covers up my no pics hot wife. My fav hobby...biking. Ruins the job I like. ....kids that like me... Miserable
