What are you thankful for in 2024?

Family and Friends.

Family is an easy one as it is what it is in the physical sense (I have 1 sister, the no-pic is an only child, etc)....there are some health issues on the immediate level of parents and grandparents, but that is life.

Our children are healthy and that's the most important.

I will say as I get older, I am becoming equally as grateful for good friends. I have a good group of close buddies and I think you realize that becomes important the older you get, so I am thankful for that as well.

(And Mrs. OV for putting up with my Tom Foolery)

Your behavior here. There are other teachers on here and they don't act like you. My hope is that this is more of a schtick and not your real personality.
I think I’m pretty tame compared to a lot of other people. You might be surprised how some teachers are in real life. My behavior outside of school is entirely socially acceptable. I never drink and have never done drugs.

Sometimes this is a good place to blow off steam. There’s a lot of pointless bantering here so I pretty much fall in line with whatever.

Happy Thanksgiving.

Family.
Our oldest is in NJ and won’t be home for Thanksgiving so that will be weird and a little sad but he’s got a great friend group and will be hanging with a friend and her family in NYC, so that makes me feel better that he won’t be all alone.

My top 10:

1. Girlfriend, family, and friends (no pics)
2. My students and getting a week off
3. French silk pie
4. Being an American
5. YouTube TV and NFL Sunday ticket
6. Coca Cola
7. Prime rib with horseradish
8. Holding opinions other people don’t have to like
9. Good books
10. Blow job on my birthday
I am thankful that hellbenders are still with us.

Thankful for my family (wife and kids).

My wife has supported me every step I've made in the last 24 years. Truly in good times and in bad.

Three amazing kids. Daughter is heading to med school, son is starting off well in college while playing a D1 sport, youngest is making his own path and doing well.

Thankful for a good paying job that is secure. Wife has been mostly part-time our entire marriage but should be getting a major job promotion this spring.

Thankful for good health. Wife and kids are healthy. I'm healthy for the most part, need to start exercising though.

Thankful for my savings. Been saving for early retirement for a long time. My wife and I live below our means and have delayed gratification a long time. Hopefully my plan works out and I live long enough to enjoy it.
