First, a little history: Our first President, George Washington, issued the first Thanksgiving proclamation by the national government of the United States in 1789. Abraham Lincoln established Thanksgiving and Praise day as an official holiday in 1863 to be held the final Thursday in November.

We have much to be thankful for. I am thankful for this board and the posters who make wrestling more interesting, in season and out. I hope to catch up with some of you if I'm able to attend any live action this season.

Enjoy your Thanksgiving celebrations surrounded by family and friends. God is good

Happy Thanksgiving to all my HR friends, as well as to all visiting posters! Very thankful for this board, it keeps me sane during the year so I have some place to talk wrestling with other like minded wrestling fanatics. We all know how those conversations go when you're talking off a non-wrestling buddies ear about wrestling.

I suspect that I have more reason to be thankful for my HR friends than most. Last weekend youngsters in Iowa and North Carolina wrestled in shoes you helped them get. Demand for Iowa City Duals tickets was down this year, but there were still kids who got to attend because of your kindness. Your generosity will get many more to see Iowa State, Penn State and Ohio State.
