Never sounded like a personal attack to me, just a short sided and inaccurate comparison of two recruits.
If that's true, then I apologize for not including in the original post that his career was affected by injuries.
Oddly enough, three different posters seemed to be offended by the fact that I spelled his fricken first name wrong.

How are you too dumb to realize that it wasn't about the name misspell, it was about the fact that there was absolutely no reason to even bring him into the conversation? These two recruits are on a completely different planet as far as accolades go. Being ranked 5-7th at your weight, when there's 5 different recruiting classes in college at any given time is NOT even remotely a highly rated recruit.

I don't give a shit what you like.

Franklin was not higher ranked. And I certainly never inferred he was.
Your continued condescending posts just verifies your arrogance.
Congrats?

I know you didn’t. You keep pretending you didn’t make this post:

Hopefully has a better career than the last high profile guy...Colby Franklin.

Nah, but since this thread has long since been derailed, I'm fascinated that fans have such short memories.

I checked the posts when Franklin committed, and he was ranked anywhere from 5th-7th at his weight, depending on the site, so to say he wasn't highly regarded is patently false.
So...there is no "L" to take.

Lol wow. It’s funny you thought saying he was 5-7 at his weight was somehow a supporting point. 😂

no. just my gut. and it's a pretty big gut.

Just spit-balling here, but maybe you don't understand the monumental, overall difference between being the clear #1 recruit at a weight, versus being "5th-7th"??

One makes you a top 10ish lb4lb recruit, while the other has you 40 and above....There are several degrees of separation.

They may not come to Iowa but I am pretty sure neither one ends up in Happy Valley. If Oklahoma State was not so far away I think it would be a done deal for Bo. My gut tells me Iowa or Ohio State for Bo. Jax is interesting could end up in Stillwater but his dad really likes Iowa. Honestly feel it’s down to Oklahoma State or Iowa for Jax. Raney twins will likely end up wherever Jax does not go. Iowa City or Stillwater. Again all just a gut feeling and definitely could be wrong.

He teched him at Fargo this year, too
I remember that. Normally I don’t take all that much stock in freestyle wins, but he really blew the doors off him in that bout as well. His hand fighting is pretty elite and he strings together attacks really well. Kid has a great pace and an excellent motor for an upper weight. I really like that he isn’t your prototypical strong, plodding, boring upper weight. He’s explosive and is clearly very well coached. We’re getting a good one.

Agree 100%. Attack rate of the charts with an excellent variety as well.

No hindsight was needed when our choice was to send Riggins out there for post-season.

The fun part about being a fan is that I can talk about the good old days and the bad decisions. Still 100% Hawkeye, even if I have a different opinion than the guy that posts before or after me.
20/20

I love being an Iowa fan aswell

What makes you say this? I would have thought the opposite.
There's been a lot swirling about Jax and his dad REALLY enjoying their trip. If i still had to guess, I'd say both McCort guys go to OK State, but....it's not done deal.

I've long thought Bo and Iowa was a great fit, but it feels (totally gut instinct here, I'm not an insider like @smalls103 or others) that it's trending away, to where Bo would end up at one of the OSUs.

Still, if the Brands et al can pull Jax and the Raneys (also not any kind of certain) that would be huge.

That would be awesome, I think Jax is more athletic than Bo, which helps at the next level. The problem with landing Raneys and Jax instead of Bo, is getting the bigger Raney and Jax instead the lineup at the same time. This could work, Jax is long and thin still, and his dad looks like a decent size guy. Raneys just have a body type that looks like they may stay small. I know they are adopted, but look like they may be Mexican. There is a reason why they dominate the light weights of boxing. If they could stay 133,141, and Jax grow into 149, or all of them grow one class bigger than that, it would be perfect. Not sure about Jax getting to 157, would take time. Good dilemma to have. Problem is if one Raney transfers, do both go? Also with Bo, you probably get his brother and Melvin miller, who will probably be the #1 recruit in his class. Must get Ross no matter who else comes, if he doesn’t do just football.

IF we land any of them I don’t see a problem.
These are the kind of “problems “ PSU has, which we need to have also to be competitive. Would just suck to lose the Raney who would be starting. I know we just need to get them on campus and let it play out. They all seem to like and admire Ross, so if he would commit soon, it certainly wouldn’t hurt our chances with the others. We have known for a while 2026 is a make or break class for us. Bad timing for us to have Taylor suddenly jump into coaching in time to recruit this class hard.

I love that you anticipate it will be a problem getting two super recruits into the lineup is going to be some sort of problem.
