LIFO/FIFO, EBIT, all accounting and business terms. Maybe lots of gender studies grads on HROT?
LIFO and FIFO are data base terms also.

I don't think you understand.
If you're a journeyman fitter and the job comes to an end you go to the " bench " at the union hall. Guys that " bust ass " are also called " rate breakers " by the other tradesmen. You will be quickly ostracized. When a contractor calls the Hall and asks for 7 fitters for the next job, you better believe the guy waiting the longest is going out first. The contractor doesn't even know who the Hall is sending out...That’s a common misconception. At least with Private unions. First guys to get laid off are the old boys. Young guys that actually bust ass get kept.
I guess I’ll take your word for it for fitters, but I was in the IBEW for 10 years so I know how it works. If you're a journeyman fitter and the job comes to an end you go to the " bench " at the union hall. Sorry, are people entitled to a particular job for life? Isn't that like cronyism? So the company is letting them go because they can't afford them but they have decided to call it performance related just to leave them high and dry.
Nice system we live in.

Unemployment benefits vary by state but in Iowa each employee would accrue benefits based on length of employment, the rate the employer has paid in, ect. If fully invested I think the benefit is usually no more than 80% of wages and lasts up to 26 weeks...Where did I say that? I think if you are being laid off for reasons that have little to do with your own performance/behavior and mostly to do with the company downsizing than you should probably get some unemployment to help ease the transition until you can find a new job.

80 percent if you make a shit wage. When I left Iowa I took a lay-off when I moved and didn’t even get half what I was making and I was receiving the highest amount they paid out. It’s shit honestly.Unemployment benefits vary by state but in Iowa each employee would accrue benefits based on length of employment, the rate the employer has paid in, ect. Why would you know more than JVW about this? He has a lifetime of union grudges he still can’t let go of. He still gets pissy about 35 year old calls in baseball games.I guess I’ll take your word for it for fitters, but I was in the IBEW for 10 years so I know how it works.
Off topic question.
It always bothered me that the Terminator specifically requested the laser scope. Come on, you’re a fuggin’ Terminator and have all that auto-aim technology and can see in the dark with robo-eyes. Why do you need an ancillary laser? Did first-gen skin-on Terminators still suck at aiming? Skynet blows.
Negatory on the former, still wake up with nightmares over the latter, yes. Most of the U of I's buildings were built by my Southern Johnson County's union buddies, I hold no grudges...Why would you know more than JVW about this?
