Thought pretty much the samething this morning. One loss away from making alot of people look smart.
I don't like the sound of that, but it's true. There are some really good teams ahead of the Hawks right now,
and spare me the one loss BS. Just gotta let the season play out.

What fans really need to do is unite and get behind this team by getting your butt's to kinnick and selling out against Purdue for Senior night! I do not care who we play, the temperature/weather, the time, the cost, or anything else! If my team gets knocked out of the playoff's here in CO, I am driving 11 hours for the Minnesota game and then the following weekend I am doing the same thing for the Purdue game! When/if we make it to Indy I am going to that too, when we make the playoff's I am going to that too.....will I be broke as a joke but who knows when the next time we will be having this much fun again (hopefully next year but who knows)
At this point I don't care if you said this team would be 3-9 or 13-0 before the season, there is no excuse for you not to go to the game. I don't care if you have a 80" TV with surround sound, get off your ass and get to kinnick, I don't care if you hate KF or if you would allow your wife to have his baby, get to the game

I agree, I realize it is nice to be in the discussion of the CFP, but our schedule is what everyone has a problem with. I realize it is 36th in the nation and is ahead of TCU, Baylor and others. But we have no ranked teams left on our schedule. TCU, Baylor, and the Big 12 have their toughest part of their schedules ahead of them.

I think the hawks will sneak out of Indy with a win this weekend. I just think that all this Playoff talk is non-sense. There is so much football to be played, why release these now???? Its seriously just for the media to talk about. I can guarantee you that out of the top 6 in the initial CFP, I am betting maybe 1-2 are there at the end. Lots of football to be played yet.

Part of it maybe... but I also think it is helpful to have window into the committee's thinking before the real decision. Surely it would be guaranteeing uproar and controversy if the committee's first ranking was the only. At least this way teams can generally know ahead of time if they will make it in barring a loss.

As far as Iowa in the CFP... worry about it when the time comes. Enjoy the season now. My hunch is that if we finished 12-0 then beat the AP #1 team in the BigTen championship, it will be hard for us not to be included.
