Someone asked about Dom Uhl's shooting form and if they were trying to change it. Coach McCaffery said that his form needed major surgery and they really tried to avoid that once a kid gets in college.

It's not pretty but if he's hitting them I'm not sure why you would change it. You definitely don't want to mess with it during the season. Who was the Northwestern player, from a few years ago, who had the ugliest looking shot in college basketball but he was an excellent 3 pt shooter? He shot the ball from his stomach or chest level but the guy was a heck of shooter.

The caller stated that Coach Kirk is known as the "shot doctor" and has helped guys like Woody with his FT shooting. The caller stated that he was not meaning to pick on anyone, but Dom has a unique shot (and Fran said, "yes, Dom does have a unique shot"). The caller then simply asked, "when do you start tinkering with a guys's shot and when do you just leave it alone?"

Fran said they will not do major surgery on the shot but Kirk might help the player make slight adjustments.
