It happens. Iowa will be fine.
Baseball is weird this way. One day your bats are hot; the next they're not.
Marthy Sutherland, Associate Head Coach, just said, "that's baseball."
And he's right.
Let's hope Brody is on tomorrow.

Channeling KF right there...100 percent must win tomorrowBaseball is weird this way. One day your bats are hot; the next they're not.

We can...we are still solidly in regional. We will win tomorrow and have a nice BTT and get a good draw in regionals. That's nice in my book....however, as we saw NW absolutely wasn't rolling over in this series and even I would've thought after last night's drubbing we had Game 2 in the bag.WTF can't Iowa have nice things?
OSU beat Mich
Minny beating Rutgers
PSU beats Maryland
MSU beats Indiana..
It happens..too bad we couldn't sweep a very sweepable series and move up standings and BTT seeding...sigh..
Paging @AuroraHawk, you ok after that loss?wow. all the B1G favorites lost today.
Rutgers was on the bubble prior to the Minny series; now after losing the 1st two games, so much for that.
Paging @AuroraHawk, you ok after that loss?
The plate discipline yesterday wasn't what it was Thursday. I'm not the coach, and they obviously have the green light both early in the game, and early in the count.I’d rather see Iowa lose a game like that - where the other team’s batted balls seem to find holes - than one where pitchers walk and walk and walk and walk.
That written, I decided to take a hour long walk after the game was over. So disappointing - particularly in light of what transpired in other games.
Decided to step away and didn’t watch MSU/Indiana. Didn’t look at RPI until this morning. Not as bad as I thought it would be.
A win today is needed though. Awful message to Selection Committee if they lose a series to a bottom dweller who had lost 16 B1G games in a row leading into yesterday.
Hoping that the bats aren’t pressing today. Anyone else have “sure could use Anthony in the lineup” going through their heads yesterday? I had that thought about 100 times.

Agreed about losing yesterday. So long as they make the post season I'd rather they lose now than in June.
eta, assuming that was you on the Twitter recap yesterday?

A couple of good points on here regarding yesterday's strike zone. Also NW started a lefty. Not always a good thing as we know.
Chilly here today, junk pitches will move more becuase of a slightly lower temperature.
Brody is going to have additional control issues due to this, but his breaking ball moves so much we already know this, the temperature being slightly coolers just add to it a bit.
Normally give play by play over on ON3, but some douche bag ended that today. I'm superstitious, so will do play by play over here today.
