Yeah but Iowa was a football school when you know who was here. Now the football team is terrible under Fran, so it must be easier for him.

Never mind the 12-0 regular season with a Rose Bowl appearance that occurred last season. Or that the football team was terrible in [redacted]'s first two years on campus and enthusiasm for basketball was the highest in a decade. Or that we were coming off of a sweet sixteen appearance when he started.

That's a great stat. This year might be Fran's best as far as coaching. I just hope that he and the team can handle the high expectations that will be coming the next few years. That's something that's been a problem for both football and basketball.

And during some really down B10 years too. The B10 has been the toughest conference in the country for the majority of Fran's tenure. Only the last two years has it been anything close to what it was like during Alford's tenure.
