The best thing that ever happened to Iowa QB recruiting was the shake out of Rudock/Beathard. Two NFL caliber QBs and the coaching staff saw fit to unseat the veteran. As an incoming QB looking at the situation, you see that and know you can compete for the starting job and be rewarded if you are the better fit. No guarantee to Stanley or any other player that you get the job until you graduate.

Two years ago many assumed that Weigers would succeed CJ. I like the Petras verbal, but Mansell may have the job in two years.
I swear to God, one of the teams he played against, in that highlight reel, looked like a pee wee team. That's not a knock on the over all competition he played against. Just pointing out something funny. About the .30 sec mark in that video.
The opposing teams head coach is Napoleon Kaufman.. man he was a fun RB to watch at Washington when I was kid! He had a couple nice years with the Raiders too.. thanks for sharing. Looks like Petras plays some tough comp out there in Cali.
