Just found out the Iowa coaching staff offered RB/WR/CB Jerod Alton from Kirkwood (MO) this past week after talking with him at their satellite camp at Lindenwood University in the St. Louis area. Alton said he went to the camp, but just watched, didn't participate. He said the Iowa coaching staff likes him as a slot receiver or running back.

Illinois also offered Alton after seeing him at their camp earlier this month and he has previous offers from Syracuse, Arkansas State, and Ball State.

Alton said he plans to make it up to Iowa City for a visit sometime this summer, but doesn't have anything scheduled just yet.

As a junior, Alton had 126 carries for 943 yards and 7 touchdowns for Kirkwood. He also had 20 receptions for 278 yards and 2 TD catches. On defense, he had 24 tackles and 2 interceptions.
