"They said they think I can pretty much do anything within the front seven."
It was Kelvin Bell that offered tonight, but Deng has also been talking with Seth Wallace.
"Coach Bell, the d-line coach offered, but I've actually spent most of my time speaking with Coach Wallace. Coach Wallace told me he was excited about the idea of me playing linebacker in their defense and when I spoke to Coach Bell he said they were also excited about the idea of me rushing the passer."
"I'm excited about it," Deng said of the Iowa offer. "Iowa is a great program that I've been watching most of my life."
Deng went to high school in Virginia, but actually grew up in Storm Lake, IA, and lived there from the ages of 7-15. He said he's visited Iowa City a couple times before.
Currently, Deng also has offers from Virginia Tech, Virginia, Maryland, Texas, Texas A&M, Colorado, UCLA, Tennessee, and Rutgers, among others.
