The Titan Mercury Wrestling Club competed in a freestyle tournament in Iran this weekend and finished in second place, losing in the finals to Bimeh-Razi, which looks to be some kind of Iran-Georgia combo team.

Former Hawks Tony Ramos finished the tourney 3-1, beating wrestlers from Brazil, Armenia and Azerbaijan and losing to reigning World Champion Vladimir Khinchigashvili of Georgia in the final 4-1.

Daniel Dennis finished the day 2-2. Winning by fall over a Brazilian, beating an Armenia wrestler and then dropping matching to an Azerbaijani and the Iranian in the finale.

Big Bobby Telford went 3-1 on the day winning matches against Brazil, Armenia and Azerbaijan and then losing in the finals to 2014 World Silver Medalist Komeil Ghasemi of Iran.

Andrew Howe had the best day for the Americas as he went 4-0. He bested 2015 World Silver Medalist Alireza Ghasemi 7-2 in the final. Ghasemi lost in the finals at Worlds to Burroughs.

Jake Varner also went 3-1 for Titan Mercury getting hammered by Yazdani of Iran in the final by tech fall.

Jeez.Just how good is Burroughs? We have all these super studs at his weight in the USA and none of them can find a way to beat him. Congrats to Howe. That is quite an accomplishment.
