Nebraska has the inside track with both Graves and Henrich. Can’t help but think the staff is worried that our 2 starting DEs both leave after this year. Hesse graduates and there is a real chance A Nelson gets an NFL grade of round 2 or better.
Obviously AJE is still there and Golston and Simon. Waggoner may not be ready by the opening game of 2019, so maybe this is an insurance policy? I know you need 4 quality guys there. Will Brincks also graduate? I think so. We probably need Reiff inside with Lattimore and Nixon.
Obviously there is no such thing as “too many good DLinemen” so hopefully Mr Lee comes in ready to play (and brings Chester Graves with him).
He'll graduate from Iowa Western in December and enroll at a Division I school next January with 2 years of eligibility remaining, plus a redshirt year still available if needed. Is he a 2 or 3 year juco player?
Going with the new recommendation of rotating 8 DL in a game to keep them fresh. Think that was one of their takeaways when they visited Georgia (?) in the springCan’t help but think the staff is worried that our 2 starting DEs both leave after this year. False.Nebraska has the inside track with both Graves and Henrich.
Agree, bring in talent. From whats been said though, Waggoner is putting in the work, and given how big he was right out of high school, I'd be suprised if he's not ready for the rotation by next season. Can’t help but think the staff is worried that our 2 starting DEs both leave after this year. Wagoner is another guy that could benefit from the 4 game redshirt rule. Allow him some very situational snaps so there is some film to watch but dont rely on him for anything. That rule is going to be a big deal for a program like Iowa.Agree, bring in talent. I thought Heinrich to ND as well, but, with Kiser going there I dont know if they will take both.I would be surprised if Henrich did not go to ND and Graves to a southern school because of the weather and preference to the southern schools. NE is NOT the inside track for sure.

Lee can play both DE and DT and talked with the Iowa coaches about playing both when he visited on Monday.
