Heard Alfred Williams on 104.3 in Denver bring up Krieter during his radio show yesterday in a round about way. He was discussing the roster and projecting who would make the final cut on offense, defense and they got to special teams and he simply said, "the snapper has done a real nice job and the fact I don't know his name is a good thing". He then looked up the number and mentioned Krieter by name.

It also sounds like Ferentz is being forced into a lot more reps than he might normally get, including time at guard this week due to injuries. Coach Kubiak referred to him as 'Brick' in the Denver Post today. Haven't heard much about Lowrey except that he was burned for a TD in one of the first couple practices.

Not exactly earth shattering news, but thought it was worth a mention and it is Hawkeye related afterall.

Thanks. It would be great if they all make the team and get some playing time this year.

I don't think Lowrey has any chance to make it past the first or second cut, hope I'm wrong but there there isn't much room in the secondary, seems like a camp body for a lack of a better term, but a great opportunity and experience for him. I've been hoping to hear something about HKC, but pretty quiet on that front, but he and his agent made a great decision to choose Denver as an undrafted FA, great opportunity for him in Denver. You have Virgil Green who has been with Denver for six years and by all accounts having a great camp and ready to emerge beyond a blocking tight end, the 2nd year kid from OSU who tore his ACL last year and didn't play but is a lock and hopefully someone who contributes, and Garrett Graham...guess it depends if Denver keeps that fourth TE? It was fun to see James playing goal line fullback last year, I suspect he might carve himself out a nice little career here in Denver if he can prove to be serviceable at guard too.

Go Hawks and Go Broncos!

James Ferentz has been included in a lot of Mike Klis' tweets. Apparently Ferentz started a big brawl the other day.

As for HKC, it doesn't look promising with the Broncos.

Heuermann is supposedly their guy. The Broncos want Heuermann to succeed, and want to get him on the field. Graham knows Kubiak's system and Virgil Green knows the system and has a very friendly contract.

Unfortunately HKC will be the odd man out. Good thing for HKC though, a lot of people poach from Denver's practice squad and I don't think HKC will make it through waivers unclaimed.

I thought HKC was showing very well earlier? It sounded like he had a good shot to be the 3rd TE. What's changed?

From what I heard on the radio the other day Kubiak runs a zone blocking scheme very similar to Iowa so JF/HKC should fit very well.

Nothing has changed. Not sure where these guys get thier reports, but hkc as been showing pretty well. In fact, Virgil sat out today and hkc was the star. He has a great shot at the 3rd spot and may even be the 2 when all is said and done.

Yes, james is starting to make some impressions. Biggest downside fir him is he is viewed as a center only and not very versatile. Strong 2nd stringer and should see some pt this year.

I hate the ponies so I won't be following any of these guys.

That's Super Bowl 50 Champion Ponies to you.

From what I've heard hkc is gonna be in a battle for the 3rd TE position with garret graham

Virgil Green caught 4 TD in camp yesterday before banging up his hip.

Not much has been said by the beat writers about HKC. These were tweeted by the Broncos own writer in the last week .

What is your point? Green is the clear starter and sat out yesterday, just like I said, giving hoc the chance to shine, which he did. Hkc has a great chance at the 3rd spot and could move into the 2 as the season progresses.

I don't follow the beat writers, but I listen to the talk radio. Plenty of mention of hkc being in competition for a spot on the team.
