my (work) laptop sounds like a small plane when I keep HBOT open. Noticed when I hover over the tab in chrome it says "high memory usage 4.9GB". Why is HBOT such a resource whore?

You need to close the tabs for the “Boobs” and “Butts” threads. So many images and .gifs.
And maybe stop masturbating so much too.
Mine says 1.7 GB. What I've found is the longer I keep Chrome open, the slower it gets....after a few days videos and reels won't play w/o pausing every few seconds. I've not been able to find a solution outside of closing Chrome, clearing my cache (CCleaner) and reopening.
Absolutely 0 extensions. Work laptop, so don't/can't/won't add anything.

I would also try clearing your cache. And reboot computer (especially if you haven’t in a while).
Mines at 1.1 GB and I've noticed that in the morning the tab has been terminated and I have to refresh. Only this site.
Probably Microsoft Edge. Between Mozilla and Safari, I still like Chrome the best of the browsers
I hate edge. I have to use it at work for some stuff but if I'm browsing it's on chrome.

Chrome does the same thing to my computers. Currently HBOT is only using 700mb
