I’m not disagreeing with any of your points. One thing that I don’t think Hawk fans are taking into consideration (even as Iowa plays crappy basketball) is that we are playing in the best conference in college basketball. This was proved during the nonconference slate, and just because teams have been beating up on each other all year, doesn’t make it untrue.
Suppose Iowa gets into the NCAA as a 7 or 8. Whichever team they play is likely not going to pose much more difficult of a matchup than a team like Indiana or Rutgers... yes I really believe this. Iowa will have an opportunity to win their first game and, in fact, I expect them to do so.
He never did take me up on the “easy money” offer.
We are in as a 8,9 or 10 seed unless we get on a roll in the B1G Tournament.
It will be refreshing to play someone who hasn't figured us out.

Agreed. I’m in the “meh” category on Fran for the most part and expressed reasons I wouldn’t mind if he stays but if they blow it so bad that they go from a 5th seed to not making the tournament, in the fashion they would have, that’s inexcusable.
That being said I am 99% sure they are getting in.
Yet somehow they finished 6th out if 14 in the Big Ten. That’s weird.
