Here we go again

No way this happens. Not sure why the Giants would be interested in a coach who is 5 years from retiring. Then again, maybe NFL coaching doesn't require the same kind of effort than college coaching. Not to say it's easier, but you don't have to go on recruiting trips and things like that.

At this point, Kirk won't give up what he has at Iowa. He'll finish his coaching career here.

Thats what the "Old ball coach" thought as well, and he didn't make it long in the league.

Kirk will stay and hand off to Brian. Will time it right so there is no other option. Kirk breaking Hayden’s record is amazing. Remember when my son had Kirk sign football for him and it had Hayden’s sig on it made out to him. Kirk said you got a good one there and son replied now there are 2 good ones. Nice to only have 2 coach’s sigs on ball made out to him. I think Brian will continue to progress. Love his fire.

There is too much money at stake for there to be no other options when Kirk retires. We'll see how Brian's offense looks in the next few years. Last years offense will not get Brian the job and I'm a BIG BRian fan.

No chance! There's to much of a chance for failure. At Iowa, he has insulated himself from failure...by redefining the word.

I'd be interested in seeing what he could do:oops:
Does he think they could get Arkansas St, ISU and the b10 west scheduled? If not , he is smarter then that. He isn’t an x and o guy or game manager. He is a developmental coach and that doesn’t work in the nfl

I could see Kirk going to the NFL with the right team/roster. The Giants are a mess and their best player cries on the sideline like a bi***. No way in hell Kirk would go there and deal with that situation.

Kirk has history in Cleveland with the Browns and they have some very good parts along with a ton of high picks this upcoming draft. If they come calling I could see him wanting to go there.

Yeah, I know Cleveland might go winless but with the right picks and all the young talent they could be 2-3 yrs away from a playoff team. The Giants have a turd roster and no picks of value coming
umm they have the 2nd pick and if they have a single brain cell can take that Barkley guy

I think that time has passed for KF but you never know. If he was EVER going to go back to the NFL it would have to be very soon.

FWIW KF has told his players that money dominates decision-making in the NFL, and that relationships and player development take a back seat. This is diametrically opposed to KF’s philosophy. Miguel’s personal journey under KF, has been typical of what I’ve been told by other former players: he saw talent, and provided the player with the resources necessary to succeed.

So, I don’t ever see KF making a move to the NFL.
