There are so many Fran apologists on this board it's not even funny. There's a stark difference between just outright blaming him for downfalls/shortcomings/blunders and bringing into question and analyzing strategic changes he could make, to strengthen the team. Just because we won, doesn’t waive the right to be critiqued or criticized for certain moves/strategies in game, nobody gets a pass. If Ayala makes the first FT, which he was a 74% shooter before this game started, with 5 seconds left, misses the second, they get a rebound and sink a 2 or 3 we are either 0-3 in the big ten or going into OT with no momentum at a deflated CHA. Just being real about it, I've seen us snatch defeat out of the jaws of victory 1 too many times, that I'm going to take Maryland's chances in that situation 7 times out of 10, to do just that. Thank god Ayala choked when he did, and Jordan made his FT's to seal it. I'm fairly certain the narrative would be different on the game from some of the fans supporting Fran's mid game management/minute distribution, had we dropped to 0-3 in the Big Ten.
