I have a t-shirt that I got during a visit when I was in HS...a while back. It's black, has IOWA WRESTLING outlined block letters in gold surrounding an oval containing the numbers 78-13, also in gold.
I can't remember or find the significance to the numbers in any search.
Even as a lifelong Fighting Irish fan with tons of Blue & Gold apparel... this is my favorite shirt as it reminds me of the work that I put in, as well as the work I didn't. I ended up staying in PA.
Can anyone help me?

GO IRISH!

Nobody?
Ps. I'm not that old... I wrestled in the 90's. I didn't mean to imply I was ancient. Although to some of you I guess I am. Nor am I implying that I spurned (or was even offered by) Iowa to stay in PA. I just knew(after my last match) that twelve years had taken a toll on my body and I wasn't gonna wrestle anywhere. Let alone in Valhalla.
Anyway, if anyone knows someone who knows, let me know. Please.
Oh, and by the way, now y'all know why ND fans hate Stanford and their d'bag band!

GO IRISH!

It's possible the 78 is for Gable's first national title in that year, and if you got it after 1995 it could be for the 13th national title attained that year.
