This pathetic team is 10-7 vs your beloved Husker since 81. The Hawks have also had 58 All Americans during that stretch with the Skers having 51. Not bad for a pathetic program…
So were you ok with your LB Reimer using a Covid year to play a 5th year without red shirting this season? I remember your old coach automatically incorporated free year for all his players. Like Martinez when he was in his 4th yr was still listed as a Jr even though he played 3 full seasons prior. where as other schools like Iowa they weren’t adding on free year already, case in point Higgins.
Also KF was on record in 20’ season stating how they like to use freshman on ST but limit some and keep them under 4 games. However he stated one nice thing with that year that didn’t have to worry and reason why guy like Higgins played more than 4 because it didn’t effect burning his RS. You got to be pretty ignorant if you don’t think a lot of coaches did that during the 20’ season with multiple younger players.
Your 5* QB, if he isn't injured by then, will be running from #34 the entire game next season.
Not to be a buzzkill, but does this drive Sharar and/or Harrell to the portal after the bowl game? Especially if Nick Jackson comes back?
That's always a possibility but one we will take given the talent of those two! When in 4-3 we still need another backer plus potential depth.

Got to think Jackson is coming back. Schulte makes sense, too. Castro will probably be dependent on what his draft potential looks like. DeJean is at best a strong maybe, but why the heck not. With a new OC coming in (I have my realistic favorite), next fall is going to be fun.
