MOORESVILLE, Ind. (WXIX/Gray News) - A high school student in Indiana is accused of planning to kill masses of students at his school on Valentine’s Day.

Trinity Shockley, 18, is accused of planning to execute a mass shooting at his high school in Indiana.

Authorities said the 18-year-old’s motivation for the school shooting was to prove to Nikolas Cruz that she was his “number one fan.” However, Shockley decided against the school shooting for several reasons:

  1. He did not want to be escorted to a police car afterward.
  2. He did not want to go to court and “listen to all the stuff.”
  3. He now wants to become a gun activist to get people “out of that mindset.”
  4. He would feel guilty about it.
Investigators said Shockley planned to commit the crime at lunchtime “because that would present the most target-rich environment.”

Investigators explained that Shockley identifies as a transgender man and often goes by Jamie or Dex.

The FBI obtained Discord messages between “Jamie” and another user, “TCC Mama.”

Jan. 12, 2025

Jamie: “Yeah. I’ll be honest. I’m close to shooting mine up. I have an AR-15.”

TCC Mama: “[Damn] OMD that’s so cool!! But wait, do you have a solid plan??”

Jamie: “Parkland part two. Of course. I’ve been planning this for a YEAR.”

TCC Mama: “You don’t plan on killing yourself right??”

Jamie: “No.”

TCC Mama: “Okay good Your secret is safe with me bro. Kids are awful And if you do carry it out good luck.”

Authorities said he collected bullets, magazines, protective gear and named at least one specific target.

A tipster reported the threat to the FBI’s Sandy Hook Tip Line, stating that the suspect had access to an AR-15, ordered a bulletproof vest, admires Nikolas Cruz and that he would kill her best friend in the shooting first.

Nearly one month later, Shockley sent another user, “Sasha,” a link to a photo of 10 Magpul AR-15 magazines and wrote, “I’m also buying a bulletproof vest,” court documents say.

He also sent photos of AR-15 rifles, a photo collage of Dylann Roof - the white supremacist and neo-Nazi who committed mass murder at a South Carolina church in 2015 - and continued to discuss his plan over Discord.

According to the probable cause, investigators found several pieces of evidence inside the home, specifically in the 18-year-old’s bedroom.

  • Photos on the wall of Trinity’s bedroom of Dylann Roof that matched the collage sent on Discord.
  • Another collage that had photos of Nikolas Cruz, who killed 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on Valentine’s Day, Dylann Roof and Andrew Blaze, the Weis Markets employee who executed a murder-suicide at his place of employment in 2017.
  • A poster for a movie called “Zero Day.” The movie is about two boys who conduct a school shooting.
  • A poster of who the detective believes to be Dylann Roof.
  • On a bookshelf in her room, there was a framed photo of who the detective believes to be Dylann Roof.
  • Above the light switch, there was a photo of Nikolas Cruz.
  • On his laptop, there was background wallpaper of Nikolas Cruz at trial.
  • Another laptop was found in the closet.
  • A Mooresville Schools-issued Chromebook was found in Trinity’s backpack.
  • An iPhone that was located on the bookshelf and an iPhone that was on the top shelf of the closet.
  • Trinity’s backpack had three buttons on it, each depicting a photo of one of the three mass murderers.
  • Three notebooks were also found in Trinity’s backpack. Each one depicted swastikas, the words “kill,” “bang,” “I hate you all DIE DIE DIE” and other obscenities.
  • In Timothy Shockley’s room, there were AR-15 magazines and a box of 50 .40 caliber rounds.
  • A soft armor vest was located in the front room closet.
During an interview with investigators, Shockley mentioned having a mental breakdown at school Feb. 11 due to his mother’s recent passing from a drug overdose.

Shockley ended up skipping two classes and tried to talk to one of his teachers about it. The teacher was not available to talk, so he went to the school counselor.

When asked about his use of social media, Shockley said he would talk about hurting people “because of the rage he feels.” However, he did not mean it at all.

Authorities said Shockley asked for mental health resources multiple times and was denied them by her father, Timothy Shockley because he didn’t believe in “mental health treatment.”

I don't predict things are going to go well for him in jail. Although if the stuff about being denied mental health services is true, he may not be the one going to prison.

Although he's 18 so none of that will likely matter.

It can’t even figure out the name that it wants to go by yet I’m sure it knows what sex it wants to be.
Dad sounds like he should do some time as well. Not wanting to get it mental health and clearly not paying attention to all the warning signs plastered around its bedroom.

First, yikes. Second, I am utterly confused by Trinity's gender. The pronouns shift back and forth throughout the article.

Decided not to because "He would feel guilty about it."

Right, that's why you don't kill people. Are teens today so disassociated that they have to spell out that they might feel bad for committing mass murder?

It's a she, FYI. Probably in women's jail.

Uncommon Sense was a Common Vice

Those with knowledge of the United States Marine Corps will recognize the irony of this title. I wish its words were not true, but as I write this, I believe they are.

Currently, there is an effort to cull a significant number of career Special Agents from the Federal Bureau of Investigation. This is an unthinkable action that will gravely undermine the security of the nation well beyond what many of our citizens are aware. For those seeking to raise their awareness, I offer this vignette, free of political bias or moral judgment. It is not about any one person, but an amalgamation of multiple FBI Special Agents.

I am the coach of your child’s soccer team. I sit next to you on occasion in religious devotion. I am a member of the PTA. With friends, you celebrated my birthday. I collected your mail and took out your trash while you were away from home. I played a round of golf with you. I am a veteran. I am the average neighbor in your community. This is who you see and know. However, there is a part of my life that is a mystery to you, and prompts a natural curiosity about my profession.

This is the quiet side of me that you do not know: I orchestrated a clandestine operation to secure the release of an allied soldier held captive by the Taliban. I prevented an ISIS terrorist from boarding a commercial aircraft. I spent 3 months listening to phone intercepts in real time to gather evidence needed to dismantle a violent drug gang. I recruited a source to provide critical intelligence on Russian military activities in Africa. I rescued a citizen being tortured to near death by members of an Outlaw Motorcycle Gang. I interceded and stopped a juvenile planning to conduct a school shooting. I spent multiple years monitoring the activities of deep cover foreign intelligence officers, leading to their arrest and deportation. I endured extensive hardship to infiltrate a global child trafficking organization. I have been shot in the line of duty.

Something else about me, I was assigned to investigate a potential crime. Like all previous cases I have investigated, this one met every legal standard of predication and procedure. Without bias, I upheld my oath to this country and the Constitution and collected the facts. I collected the facts in a manner to neither prove innocence nor guilt, but to arrive at resolution.

I am now sitting in my home, listening to my children play and laugh in the backyard, oblivious to the prospect that their father may be fired in a few days. Fired for conducting a legally authorized investigation. Fired for doing the job that he was hired to do. I have to wonder, when I am gone, who will do the quiet work that is behind the facade of your average neighbor? .

I'm not going to defend an attempted murderer, but if you're ever unsure about someone's pronouns you can use they or them instead of "it."

Unless your point is to be cruel.
What’s the difference between they/them or it?
If something ran past me and I didn’t know what it was, I’d it went over there. Seems transgenders don’t know if they are male or female, heck this one didn’t even know its name. With all the grammar police around here, “it” is much better than they or them.
I mean using he or she would be simpler.

I guess you should let the person that wrote the news article know they could have used they/them instead of going back and forth with he and she.

Look. I assume you're old enough to know better, but 'it' describes an object or thing. Calling a human an 'it' is offensive because it gives the impression you think they are less than human.

It’s your buddy that’s crying about me using the word it. Nice try though.
Awe look at you now caring about someone’s feelings. Only you don’t care about feelings in 75% of the threads on here.
^^^You were referring to how he treats you in other threads. Don't deny it. We're not dumb. You're just attempting to act like a victim again.

Again, nice failed attempt. I also enjoy how you white knighted for your butt buddy here about me using the word it. But just a bit ago you’re in another thread bashing religious people again. That’s not me crying. That’s me telling you you’re a hypocrite and a huge pile of shit. Clown squad unite!

He's a freaking monster. That's probably why he's so religious :)
