Hmmm…so it is legal to throw the ball downfield. The way we played, you would think that was entirely against the rules.

Watching a few games today and they were actually throwing the ball downfield. One time it even resulted in pass interference on the defense. Wow!!

Nice second half adjustments Lester! Brilliant!

Iowa did that too yesterday and it resulted in a big gain on 3rd down. You guys see what you want to see. Maybe if the o line didn’t suck and the qb was better than someone who could barely play at northwestern and Iowa had any legitimate division 1 receivers because why would you want to come to Iowa with the former oc

So you’re saying you wanted him to throw more while our running backs averaged 7.5 yards a carry? Sure thing brother.

Fair point. However, their safety’s were sneaking up expecting run. A few long balls would keep them on their heels opening up more running gaps.

Sure, I’d love to see a little more under Center play action like that or doesn’t even have to be under Center. 2-3 shots a game. Hard to tell on TV. Lots of the usual suspects bitching about the o line but it was pretty damn good yesterday. Will has to stay in the pocket a bit longer. Most of the time he left he had no reason to.
