Anyone heard who the honorary captain is for Saturday night? I hope they go big for this game for this selection. Like Dallas Clark, Bob Sanders or Matt Roth?? I would say Stanzi but that might be a bad omen

I would love to see Paul Krause as the honorary captain.

It would be awesome if we had Minnesota native Karl Klug or current Viking Chad Greenway. However, the Titans and Vikings aren't off this week. Any other Minnesota boys we could have come back for this? I'm blanking.

Let's just get a few notable Iowa Hawkeye football alums from the 2002 team (Shonn Greene, Dallas Clark, Brad Banks) to carry out the goal post taken down by Iowa fans in the Metrodome. They (and the goalpost) can serve as Honorary Captains.

There was a Minnesota guy who came in as a tight end and Hayden and the staff at that time turned him into a B1G first teamer at left tackle. He went on to have a long career with the KC Chiefs. I can't come up with his name.

Yeah, we're mixing up games here. There's the 2002 goalpost game, and then there's the 2008 55-0 game (including Greene), which was the final college football game in the dome, and the only game I've attended where two spectators got caught having sex in a bathroom.
I would be in that category of attending a game where two spectators getting caught in the bathroom. As I recall, they were not even a couple until those few minutes and might have been a MN fan and Iowa fan, but could be wrong. What a fun game and sure was fun when the cheers turned from "another golden gopher first down" to another hawkeye first down" or more correctly "another hawkeye touchdown". By the end of the third quarter, I think the only MN fans left were the player parents but it was a heck of a victory lap the Hawks took around the field after the game
