House Republican circulates petition to deport Omar

I love it when they illustrate their stupidity through their own words. This was a prime example.
This thread is incontrovertible proof of the danger of ideas—particularly those that go unchallenged and unchecked. And it’s precisely why I have been adamantly opposed to Donald Trump from the beginning.

It starts with seemingly innocuous (albeit stupid) rhetoric about building a wall Mexico will pay for or executive orders for (e.g) travel bans on select Muslim countries “until we can figure out what the hell is going on.” Once those ideas are not only taken seriously but vehemently defended or rationalized, then you create a slippery slope in which the ante continues to get upped and upped over time. Soon, crazy becomes the norm, and more and more otherwise rational human beings gradually become desensitized to it to the point many not only become willing to accept blatant lies and falsehoods but also defend them. This is what happens when an ignorant populace embraces tribalism and not the United States Constitution; succumbs to blind and unwavering devotion to a charlatan and not the principles of democracy; and becomes so entrenched in bigotry and acrimony that they are willing to not only put into power an insane cult leader but revere him as the “savior of a nation.”

If this sounds all too familiar, it’s because it should. The parallels are undeniable, unless of course you are fully immersed in the cult.

We are now at the point big enough lies have been told enough times that the cult of personality not only swallows them in full but perpetuates them wholeheartedly. That’s why an insane man can stand in front of an entire nation and declare a group of people are eating dogs and cats without anyone in the cult so much as batting an eye let alone questioning its veracity. It’s why none of them so much as raise an eyebrow at executive orders that not only challenge the Constitution but look to completely rewrite parts of it. And it’s why too many have gotten to the point they are pugnacious in rationalizing Elon Musk, or a bill to put Trump on Mount Rushmore, or renaming bodies of water, or musings about annexing Canada to the United States, or taking over Greenland, or you fill in the blank about what is and what is to come.

We are a nation that has returned to celebrating bigotry and idiocy, and for the second time we have put into power an insane, demented mad man who very well might prove to be the final Antichrist. That’s why insidious ideas that go unchallenged are so dangerous and prove so gravely destructive. And it’s why I changed my mind about people like @Chishawk1425, who were never dissuaded or discouraged from telling the truth despite all of the ridicule and scorn they faced.

As it relates to Trump and MAGA, Chishawk was right. About everything.

And I'm disheartened and sad it's actually happened. Keep calling these evil pieces of shit out!

Her district includes 80,000 militant Somalis 0boma had it packed with. Also, her district is where much of the freak show responsible for the Fall of Minneapolis lives. Barring a nuclear event, this district will always be sending an anti-America, marxist terrorist to DC.
It is more un-American to threaten someone because of their beliefs than it is to hold beliefs that some might define as un-American.

That’s ridiculous. So much for only wanting to deport people here illegally.

Censure her. Call for an investigation into her. But calling for an American citizen to be deported because you don’t like her is fascist and unAmerican.

I can’t believe this is where we are at as a country.
Just out of curiosity, on what grounds could they censure her or investigate her? Or is that just a "Because they can" type of thing?

So people who hate America despite moving here with both hands out shouldn’t be threatened? 🤡
No American should be threatened for their beliefs. If they break a law, lock them up. If you disagree with them speak up. Convince others that your view is a better way. But threats of harm, deportation, etc are truly un-American. Violence and violent rhetoric are never the answer.

You would know this if you were raised properly. It’s probably why you spent time in jail for assault in your past.

Thank god you're not in charge of anything, Pussy! 🤡

Do we really want this ugly, hairless whore deported? I mean, its one of the best recruiting tools MAGA and our brave militias have!!

Thank God you weren’t around for the sermon on the mount. When Jesus said to turn the other cheek you would have punched him.

You are just another internet tough guy incel who wouldn’t be able to make it in this world without the farmer welfare you receive from the government.

I will pray for you tough guy. Have a blessed day.
