Went to the Texans vs. Colts game last night and was meeting my friends at an office in downtown Houston that is close to the Museum District. I hate traffic and Houston is terrible so I decided to go in early and miss the heart of rush hour which starts around 3:30 and goes to 6:00 and needed something to do. Got to Houston around 3:00 and decided to go the Holocaust Museum.
If you have never been to one I would highly recommend going and if you are every in Houston I would take a couple of hours and go through this one. I think everyone knows the basic numbers but when you start putting name and faces to those numbers it really hits home. A fact I didn't know that stuck out to me was that off all European Jewish children in Nazi occupied territory only 11% survived to be liberated. My wife teaches 21 kids this year which means out of that number 2-3 would have survived that is just hard to comprehend.
