I was at the PSU game as well and this didn’t seem quite as loud. Could just be the night backdrop for the whole PSU game that made it misleading.

Combined with the fact the game was never close in the second half the crowd wasn’t as into it :D

It's always hard to tell on TV because they mute the crowd noise so much. Looked like Kinnick was hopping, though, and I think Griese commented on the great atmosphere in Kinnick a time or two.

It looked wild on TV but the main difference is that Iowa was 3-0 going into PSU game. That makes a difference in fan mindset.

Being 5-3 and a 20 point dog probably played a role.

Ohio State traveled very well. I would venture to say that there may have been more Ohio State fans there than ISU fans last year. So there were a couple thousand that were quiet and leaving in the second half. Kinnick did erupt when Hooker took in that pick 6 though.

I sounded really loud, especially on 3rd downs. It looked like a really fun atmosphere as well. Griese said something to the affect of ‘Kinnick is one of college football’s greatest venues’

On the sports centers. One of the highlights was just the I-O-W-A chant.

On TV? I thought it was louder than the PSU game. It might have been their microphones or something, though, because I had to turn up the sound on my TV a number of times just to hear the announcers. It sounded loud the entire game. Like, there wasn't really a time when the crowd wasn't loud as hell. It was awesome. And watching the faces of the Buckeyes players and coaches while the crowd was going nuts? Priceless!
