19-20 missed tackles and both O & D lines getting mauled throughout the game. You don’t show up to play you’ll get spanked.

That's a big mystery. UCLA and Mich State games were same. We were not the most physical team on the field in those two games. We should have owned them.
lutmer shulte and x played like clowns. castro was unavailable. their qb played like a god.
Our offense is the reason we were still in that game near the end, it was the defense that choked hardcore. Couldn't stop a bad QB and running scheme to save their lives.
Two absolutely horrible losses.

MSU had two weeks to prepare for Iowa. They put everything into beating Iowa.
In case you hadn't noticed, Iowa has a tendency to play like dog sh*t, also.
That is easily the worst excuse! Who needs 2 weeks to prepare for Iowa?
Well rested and amped up ready to go. It makes a difference in the grind of the B1G season.
Nebraska’s D Coordinator said they were going to do the same thing UCLA did. And it worked for the vast majority of the game.

This team was lucky to beat Nebraska, and I also think lucky to win @ Minnesota too. We're not that good.
I might agree with this if they hadn't made any significant adjustments at half. But they pretty clearly did, and won both games because of it.
There is little or no ability nor desire to attempt this. That's why the opponents are doing it, and why Iowa keeps hoping for opponent mistakes and to break off a long run here and there. It worked last week, so expect it to be the plan in the bowl game.
