How do you pronounce “Read receipts”

When you see it on a phone, how do you pronounce read receipts?

I have never seen this on my phone, which prompted me to do some digging. Turns out I’m set to off, which is good because I have a couple hundred unread messages. I’m not a big fan of the phone.

It is clearly past tense. Red. It says “Read yesterday” or “read 4:20”

When you see it on a phone, how do you pronounce read receipts?

Depends on the context,.. If these are previously opened messages, "red",.. If these are yet to be opened messages "reed".
