their 2 point conversion. I would say close to 50% around us did. Most of us knew that KF will try running the clock out with 3 minutes left and we would have a good chance at losing. This isn't using the benefit of hindsight. NDSU had just got done pounding the living **** out of us on an 8 minute drive. The odds we would stop them were very low. Our best chance at winning was to come out and at least act like we needed to run 2 minutes off the clock.

Double edged sword.

They score, pressure is on us to drive down the field and not make a mistake....wasn't gonna happen.

They fail, that puts the pressure on us to get first downs and run out the clock without making mistakes.....obviously didn't happen.

I don't understand. If NDSU had made the 2 pt conversion, we would have been down a point and trying to score, not "run 2 minutes off the clock".

You felt like I did. Although I too was expecting the run I sure didn't think the two runs would be "up the gut" against a stacked defense.

With today's results... wins against Nebby, Michigan, Minny, and maybe even PSU seem like less than a 50% probability. Iowa could easily be looking at a high expectations/7-5 type season. Hope to hell that I'm wrong, but today really exposed some weaknesses on both sides of the ball.
