I'm just curious, because I don't have anyone on ignore, I've been tempted to use it but ultimately the laws of reaping and sowing kicked in and the posters who annoy me are usually suspended or removed so no action is needed on my part.

So, you define the use of the ignore button solely for the purpose of creating a safe space? If you were walking on a trail and there was a huge mud puddle, would you walk through it or around it?

Over 20 but most are opposing fan trolls on the FB board like all the alts of the deranged Nebraska dude. I have six oh what you would consider regular posters on the off topic board.

i don't have anyone on ignore...but the people that think posting on an anonymous message board (or any social media, really) is some kind of moral battleground or test of character need to go outside and interact with actual people a little more often

I haven't stopped by the football board for awhile, is it still "redbum magnus vitrue" or whatever?

Why am I walking on a trail? That doesn't sound like something I would do at all...

Imagine using the ignore function.. absolute bottom bitch behavior.
I use the ignore button as a means of clutter control; it's no different than using storage bins in my garage to organize. I also attempt to control my FB feed by only following certain individuals, hiding irrelevant ads, etc. Looks like your pal H4aD is using his ignore button to hide from hawki, that ghee fella and a few others, though. So maybe he falls into your category.

Why is he my "pal"? Lol

I like some of his posts but not a lot of others for a number of reasons. I think he goes way over the top sometimes (many times, though so do I lol) and choose not to engage with that content. I've responded on a couple of occasions and told him what he said was outright wrong. NBD in any circumstance to me.

I to do this on occasion.

Sometimes a good thread gets killed by one poster and I want to read the rest of the thread so I just silence them real quick.

I had about 30. Then I emptied it this week for a fresh start. I could only stand that for a day and then added 10 back, because there was childish victory lap thread after thread clogging up the board. I have since added back another 9, because they all they do is throw bombs and call names. Not interested. i don't need an echo chamber, but I need something more from a poster than name calling. So I am back to a good sized number.

Yeah, Everyone gives Ryan shit for all his alts but this dude has to be in the HOF for creating alts. I guess giving credit where credit is due he is one persistent MFer.
He is the reason you will occasionally catch me saying "Tom Osborne is a lesbian" whenever we have a new guy show up. He hated that shit and would expose himself immediately.

To recognize proper competition however, he is the reason I'm not allowed on the rivals nebraska board as he got me over there one time trolling.

The ignore feature seems more like throwing out the crap in your garage you don't want, it doesn't seem like organization. but I'm trying to see your POV here...

The victory lap was expected right? I mean after 4 years of basically being called a nazi by your fellow Americans was going to lead to some flag planting...

Quite a few handles although probably only like 3-4 people. I don’t stop and listen to obviously mentally ill people spouting gibberish on street corners nor do I do so here

Well, honestly it is like that (too). I spent a week attempting to have a reasonable discussion about the LA Fires with many whom I disagree with politically. They were having none of it. Just go back and read through those threads. The same thing with the Mt. McKinley thread. You were the only person from the "red team" that gave me a sincere, honest answer and I thanked you for that. Why would I allow the front page (aka: news feed) to be cluttered by dozens of posts started by people who have no desire to hear my perspective? Or in reasonable threads, they just respond with a personal attack?

my bad... it's the first of the year... maybe it's time for people to clean up their ignore roster?
First of the year? We literally had this exact thread 3 days ago.

I have over 3. I've been here for over 20 years. I think I might have 4 or 5. Most are Nebraska dorks who had incredibly bad takes. No idea if they are still here. Only 1 poster is ignored who still regularly posts... that I see anyway.

My all time favorite was when he demanded, And I do mean demanded that Iowa football fans show the proper respect to the Nebraska football program, When the history of Lawerence Phillips, Johnny Rodgers, Christian Peter and Tom Osborne hiding a gun used in a crime in his desk was brought up he didn’t handle it well.

And here you are in this one... I guess you need a button to ignore stuff? I figure a doctor as smart as you would know how to scroll your finger or mouse past a thread. So you know how to give poison shots but don't know how to keep scrolling?

I am constantly putting people on ignore, then unignoring them. Its like a moth to flame. Know its going to hurt (piss me off) but oh so tempting to see what the idiot trolls are saying. Currently I believe I am at 1 or 2.

I simply corrected your mistake. You wouldn't want to go around looking like an idiot, would you? You might lose even more respect around here.

But the answer is still zero for me. Ignore button is unnecessary.
