"What's in a name?!"

I think this will be Deadspin's third separate iteration.

The original staff left/were fired and went and formed Defector - which I generally enjoy.

Now this staff that replaced them will all be gone. It'll be interesting to see what the site pivots to now, with the new owners.

The wild part of this is that Deadspin was so bad off that they were operating without basic media insurance.

It’s not that wild, they were a terrible website at the end.
