How much of a Meltdown will there be if Trump wins?

I might vote for him just to see what happens.

This is my stance. It's not like anything is going to change. I might as well get some entertainment about the issue, since I'm going to continually be blasted in the ass for the next four years, no matter who gets elected.

For the most part, they all seem slimy and corrupt. Nothing we can do about it now.

You lolbertarians are such edgelords. Please don't claim principles again.
We'll do whatever the f we want and you'll sit there and like it. You keep playing your little imaginary games whilst supporting everything that goes along with it. The fact you haven't reached this level of understanding is your problem, not ours. We do not seek to control as you do, and that is your first failure.

I'll be numb, and hope he doesn't do something that gets us nuked or kills many thousands of our soldiers.

At the same time, he might help unite us a little bit. Collectively, the extremes can step back and say...wtf have we done to ourselves...we just elected someone based on celebrity. Maybe the news media would rethink what they choose to cover and why. I guess my hope would be that some measure of sanity and respect for each other returns. Maybe we can return to the days where people can debate one another on political issues without believing those who disagree are evil or crazy...that would be a start.

More edge from Edgy Edgerstein.

I think he could close the border. Combination of people and barriers. Certainly lower the flood.

He could open up insurance companies across state lines, which would help some.

He could certainly ax a few federal departments like education and save some money.

If he did just that it would be more than most presidents get done. If you ignore raising taxes and the size of government as accomplishments.

This thread is straight-up weird. HawktimusPrime and NoleSoup are making out to Trump. Other posters are jerking it while looking on. Reminds me of this:

I'm not sure why you're seeing such things, but you do have a curious imagination.

I have a hard time picturing who might be in a Trump Cabinet. He seems like a guy that would be VERY hard to work for and with. If you've got a tentative bunch of underlings, and it would be nearly impossible for the Trump Presidency to oversee everything, who's going to have the balls to make those big decisions?

I'm less concerned with the potential economic decisions he might make, but foreign policy would be a potential time bomb.

Given his previous bankruptcies... even his domestic policies may be in question.

Regarding the meltdown... in the big picture, the entire Republican Party would be changed forever. Might be the closest we have been to a third political Party in a very long time.

I think you'd see global markets hit the toilet if Trump won the general election; the number of times he has taken viable enterprises into bankruptcy would freak most of the markets out that he'd allow a default on US T-notes.

Not this tired argument again. If you want to attack Trump with something of substance (there's a lot to attack there), then have at it, but lets put to rest this retarded talking point.

He'd probably have a reality show called The Cabinet to fill it.

The Federal Government has a $20 trillion deficit already.

I'm all in for getting the budget balanced and slowing/trimming 'entitlements' spend; but defaulting on our debt is not the way to do it. And our Congress has not demonstrated the ability to control spending.

Good lord, a litany of wingnut mythologies in this post that he most surely would not be able to accomplish as they either don't exist as problems or would be terribly stupid to do, or both!

Oh don't worry about that. They're neither going to default or pay it.

The DOE is a complete money waster. Scores have not risen, although school shootings have. Without a doubt the DOE is the biggest waste we have. What have they accomplished? What have they improved? The schools are all state ran anyways.
